⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️
Omniscient |Stockton CA

Kori sat on her bedroom floor as tears fell from her eyes while writing in her notebook.

"Dear Dad,
I'm so sorry for all the pain and grief this is going to cause you. But no matter how hard I try and fight it always comes back. Just know I fought as hard as I could. No, I haven't always felt this way but I've came to the conclusion this is the only way my pain will stop. I know you might blame yourself but don't it's no one's fault but my own. I'm done fighting my mind and acting like I'm okay, so I've decided this is the end for me. I love you, Raniya, Biggs, Jayybo and G-mama so much.

See you in another lifetime"

She finished writing and set the note next to her. She grabbed the two bottle of pills in front of her and took a handful of each.

She sat there as her body started getting weak. "See you soon mommy"She whispered to her self before her eyes closed

____________

"Kori come downstairs to eat"Kane yelled from the bottom of the stairs

He waited a few minutes not hearing any footsteps

"Kori bring your ass Sims will still be there when your finished"He yelled.

He sighed before going up the stairs, he knocked a few times not getting any response.

He opened her room door seeing her laid out next to a note and a bottle of benadryl and Tylenol.

He pulled his phone out dialing 911.

"What's you emergency"

"I need the paramedics here"

He knew his daughter had been sad he just didn't know it was this bad.

__________

"Mr.Nguyen how long has your daughter been depressed "The doctor explained to Kane as they stood outside of Kori's hospital room

"Started when she was 11 when she was being hospitalized for her health condition"He said

He knew Kori's depression had gotten worse since her mother passed he just didn't think it was this bad.

"Do you know what type"She asked

"No"He said looking at his daughter as she slept

"Well we think it's progressed to clinical which is a more persistent type of depression"She explained

Kori's was first diagnosed with depression since she was 11 it started to when she was in the hospital with her autoimmune disease, but since her mom's death it's only gotten worse.

He ran his hand over his face then he looked at his daughter through her room window as analyzing her pale face.

"So what's the next steps?"He asked

"We could only recommend therapy, and grief groups but clinical depression is one hell of fight."She said honestly

All Kane could think about is how he was going to help his daughter through this especially with out the help of his wife Vivian.

Vivian died four months ago in a car crash, that involved her and Kori they were on the way home from Kori's track meet when a drunk driver crashed into them.

Vivian made it to the hospital for an emergency brain surgery but died a few hours after. Kori just suffered from two broken ribs and arm.

"Mr.Nguyen unfortunately she has to stay for an 72 hour psych hold, I really want to evaluate her behavior."The doctor said

He nodded understanding.

__________

"I'm sorry daddy I didn't mean to scare you"Kori said hugging her father

"It's okay baby"He said wiping her tears

"I just really miss my mommy and I'm just so tired of being sad all the time"She said sniffling

She didn't understand how she could so tired of living at 15, she hasn't even experienced much of her life yet.

"I know. I'm sorry I haven't paid much attention but we're going to get through this."He said kissing her cheek

"I love you"She said wiping her tears.

"I love you too gangsta."He said

She gave a light smile before laying back. All she wanted to was escape the never ending feeling of sadness and anger.

She just needed to have patience with herself.
