Intermission: The One and Oni

"W-Wait! I didn't do anything!" A kid shouted. A few delinquents surrounded him.

"Lunch money, now." One of them said. The kid looked a little scared. Of course, a tale as old as time. Delinquents vs Defenseless Kids with lunch money. This will always be an everlasting war. However, one man decides to put a stop to it.

"So, you're looking for lunch money..." A voice said. One of the delinquents turned to see four people. One of them was way bigger than anyone else in the group. He had bushy, long white hair, and on his head, he wore a headband that had horns on them.

"It seems you haven't gotten word yet." The man said. The other three looked like his lower team members. However, they respected and followed him.

"So, what exactly are you gonna do?" The delinquent asked. There were three delinquents.

"Well, I'm gonna make you give the money back. All of it." The horned guy said. He took a step closer.

"You think those horns scare us? If anything, that's hilarious." One of them said. The man didn't say anything.

"What is that your Halloween costume?" Another asked. All of a sudden the man jumped forward and punched one of the delinquents in the stomach. He fell back trying to breath. The other two delinquents turned to the man. He was towering over them.

"And if it is?" He asked. The three others were watching.

"Uh oh... they insulted his horns." One of them said. The man clenched his fist.

"All of you better start running! You better know your place!" He began. The delinquents helped their friend up before the man made an introduction.

"You're in my turf! Know the name! Arataki Itto!" He shouted as the delinquents ran off...

Arataki Itto was a strange man. Currently, he's in college. If you ask him what he's gonna do with his future...

"I'm gonna be a gang leader, and for a long term goal, a mafia boss!"

This was a bad goal. However, he really had no other choice. His childlike behavior was never ending, but he does have times of seriousness. He just doesn't like those times.

Being in college, there's not much to do if you're barely passing all of your classes, so while reading a manga, he decided to make the Arataki gang. Three friends followed him in this idea, and now they do the opposite of what delinquents do. Steal from bad people and give to good people.

"I think our job here is done." Itto said, holding a wooden plank. He and his team members were surrounded by unconscious or beat up delinquents. Even if Itto did most of the work, he protected his bois.

"If any of you ever decide to come for me again, don't forget these horns! Next time I won't go so easy!" Itto shouted, still surrounded by the delinquents...

Then of course, his failed attempt at a love life.

"Target in sight. Over." A member said on the radio, named Akira.

"Good, ready team tango? Over." Itto asked. Genta and Mamoru, the two other members, nodded to each other.

"Yes. Over." They said. One had a bucket of water and one had a cage of doves. They were getting into position. The one with the bucket, Genta, went up on a building, while Mamoru, with the doves, sat at the corner of the building. Itto was standing in the alley on the other side of the building. Their target was a girl named Kujou Sara. She was walking down the sidewalk. Unfortunately for Sara, Itto was in love with her. Their love was also... one sided.

"T-minus five seconds." Akira said. Itto took a deep breath.

"Be a man!" He said to himself.

"Now!" Akira shouted. Itto shot out of the alley way, standing in front of Sara. Genta dropped the water down and it splashed all over Itto, getting his hair wet. Mamoru released the doves as they flew out, and Akira shone a flashlight so it made Itto pop out like a god figure. Itto placed his hand on his face and ran his fingers through his hair.

"Hey..." He said. Sara was unamused.

"Hi..." She said.

"Doing anything? Maybe you need someone to walk with you?" Itto asked.

"No. I'm fine." She said, walking around him. Itto stood there, still facing where she once stood. She kept walking, completely unamused.

"B-Boss?" His bois asked, watching as he didn't move. After seeming to have a reboot, he turned to her with a smile as she was walking away.

"I see. Playing hard to get to test my conviction and determination. Smart... well, I'll have you know it's not possible to stop me! I'm Arataki Itto! Remember that name!" Itto shouted. Sara heard him and made no response. She walked home on her phone the entire time...

"Who was that kid that bumped into me at the mall?" Itto asked himself...
