Kiyeo

Opening the door to the rooftop, my eyes wouldn't stop tearing.

This is why I hate Valentines. Every year, people make rumors about me and Hyunwoo every time he sends me Valentine's gifts, even though we are cousins. It makes me sick every single time. And now Changkyun, my crush, even made it worse by simply doing that.

"Kiki?" I heard someone open the door. I looked behind and saw Minhyuk walking to me. "Why are you here?" He asked. I looked at him, my eyes glossy, making him quickly go beside me.

"Are you okay? Did they-" "Changkyun." I muttered. "Huh?"

"Changkyun cut Hyunwoo's gift in half-the last piece in my rainbow collection." "Oh no." Minhyuk said. "In front of the whole class, Min." I ended, tears now streaming on my face. Minhyuk didn't say anything but hugged me comfortingly. "I hate him now, Min. I can't believe I liked that person. Who in the right mind will like him, a heartbreaker, in the first place?"

"Stop pitying yourself, Kiki. It's his loss, not yours. At least you told him-"

"Kiyeo?" Minhyuk was cut off when we heard another voice. We turned only to meet Changkyun's figure. "What are you doing-"

"I didn't mean to do it-" "Is that even an apology, Changkyun?" Minhyuk joined. "None of your business-what are you even doing here? Are you her boyfriend or some-"

"Stop that sentence!" I said. The boys looked at me, "Can you please, for one second, stop assuming things. He's my best friend that has a girlfriend for goodness sake! Hyunwoo's my cousin who is in a long distance relationship with his 2-year girlfriend. Stop assuming things without real basis for one second!" I yelled.

The boys were astounded. Mouths shut with their eyes zeroed on me, "Minhyuk will you please leave us first?" I asked, turning to him. I looked at his eyes full of concern, "Don't worry, I'll be fine." I assured him.

He lingered his eyes on me before sighing. He nodded before taking his leave. But before he completely left, he whispered something to Changkyun, "Don't do anything stupid."
