"Huy! Bawal mo aking makita! Anong ginagawa mo dito?!" I exclaimed nang iniluwa siya ng pintuan ng dressing room ko.
Nakaayos na ito pero wala pang coat. I can't help but to smile while looking at him, napakagwapo. Hindi ako makapaniwala.
"Bwisit na mga 'yon! Halos magtulong tulong sila na ikulong ako, buti nakatakas ako." natatawa ako dahil nakabusangot ang gwapo niyang mukha. Salubong ang kilay habang nil-lock yung pinto.
His jaw dropped when he faced me. It's been one year since we began to live together, and I am an attorney now, I passed the board. Hindi pa rin nagbabago yung reaction niya everytime na makikita niya ako. Agad siyang lumapit sa akin and circled his arms around my waist. Hinila niya ako palapit sakaniya.
"Ang ganda ganda naman ng mapapangasawa ko. Pakiss nga." lalapit na sana yung labi niya but I pushed him. Ngumuso ito.
I glared at him. "Bawal kang pumasok dito! Baka maghiwalay tayo, sige ka..." pananakot ko sakaniya.
"Sino naman nagsabi?" masama na yata mood niya.
"Paniniwala kasi ng matatanda, magkakahiwalay raw ang magasawa kapag nagkita bago sila ikasal." I explained. He exhaled harshly saka mas hinila ako palapit.
"Alam mo, paniniwala nila 'yon. While ako, iba ang pinaniniwalaan ko." sabi nito.
"Ano naman?"
"Na mamahalin kita hanggang sa tumanda tayo." he said and planted a kiss on my forehead.
I can't hide the redness on my face because of words and gestures. Hindi pa rin siya nagbabago, mas nagiging sweet pa nga but he knows his limits. Tinignan ko siya. "Why are you here?"
He smiled and showed me a big square box. I opened it and it was a necklace from the auction. Nakangiti lang ako habang iginiya niya ako paharap sa salamin at doon ko siya pinanood habang isinusuot sa akin 'yon. I felt a tingling sensation in my stomach because of his small hot breathing on my nape.
Hindi pa rin kumalma 'yon when he hugged me from behind. We stared at each other's reflection for too long before he decided to break to long silence.
"My grandmother used to like to have that necklace. I was young by then, 12 years of age," he started. "I said I'll give it to her but she died the day before the auction so I wasn't able to give it. But I promised her to give the necklace to someone who can touch my heart like what she did to me." he smiled softly and kissed the side of my head. "I love you." he whispered.
"I love you." I replied. We stared at each other for more minutes before he showed me a bouquet of tulips.
"But I already have one...." I said.
He rolled his eyes. "You don't like roses. I want you to be happy in our special day. Accept my tulips. Later, you will accept my lips." he even winked. Napatawa naman ako.
"Handa akong mawalan ng angas basta sayo." sabi niya pa.
Tumigil ako sa pagtawa at ibinaba sa katabing table yung binigay niya. "I have something for you too."
