she laid her head on his arm, her back to his chest and her body tangled with his as his arms and legs completely engulfed her.
they laid on the bedroom floor together, as tears rolled down her soft, red cheeks. she sniffled, wiping her runny nose with the back of her hand.
the sound of her heavy breathing and sniffles almost broke Ransom's heart. he had never felt this way towards anyone, but there's no one he'd rather be with.
his hand raked through her hair, whispering in her ear from behind her, telling her everything was going to be okay.
