We run to the museum and I smile at Carlos
"We're hereee!!" I squeal
"Check your mirror" Mal whispers to Evie
"Is my mascara smudged?" She asks
"Yeah" I whisper "Oh! A pretty good thought just came to mind. Why don't you see if you can find us the Wand, whilst you're at it" I smile
"Sure!" she checks her mirror "This way!" We follow her to a door that looked into Maleficent's spinning wheel and Screens with different Historical monuments on. The security guard turns around so we all split and hide behind the walls. We creep back and sigh
"That's your mothers spinning wheel?" Jay asks Mal as the boys both laugh
"Yeah, it's kind of dorky" Carlos says. I slap him round the back of the head and frown at him
"It's magic... it doesn't have to look scary" Mal frowns. She opens the spell book and reads a spell "Magic spindle do not linger, Make my victim prick a finger" Nothing happens...
"Impressive.." Jay says
"I got chills!" Carlos whispers and they both laugh
"Boys shut up!" I whisper shout
"Okay, you know what..." Mal scoffs "Prick the finger, Prick it deep. Send my enemy, off to sleep" We all watch as the security guard stands up and walks to the wheel. He pokes the needle and green sparks fly off. He lets out a loud yawn and lays down beside the wheel
"Not so dorky now, huh?" I smirk at Carlos. Mal tries opening the door but it was locked
"Stand back" Jay smirks
"Make it easy, make it quick, open up without a kick" Mal reads. The doors fly open causing Jay to jump into nothing and land on the ground. We all laugh at him and Mal kicks him gently "Coming?" She asks him
"Come on, Jay" Carlos says, putting his hand out to him. Jay pushes him away so he puts his hands up "Just trying to help" I laugh and nudge him
"Come on" I pull him and we run after the others. We quietly walk around the sleeping guard, not wanting to break the spell. The guard suddenly moves so Jay and I quickly run "Carlos!" I call in a whisper
"Coming!" He runs after us and we go through some corridors. We run up a flight of stairs and come to a room with statues in it. We all freeze and stare at the statues.
"Mommy?" Evie asks
"Killer..." Jay whispers
"I'll never forget mother's day again" Carlos shivers
"Psycho..." I stare at the statue of my mother. I quickly leave the room and go to find the wand. Carlos runs after me and grabs my hand
"Are you okay?" He asks
"What? Oh, yeah" I nod "Come on, let's find the wand" I smile. He doesn't let go of my hand as we walk around the museum. We get to a room with a blue beam and we run too it. I look down and see the wand "There it is! Guys!" I whisper shout. Evie and Jay run up to me and cheer "Evie, go get Mal"
"Okay" She smiles and runs off. Eventually they come back together and Jay runs off through a door. Carlos pulls me with him and we open the door, running through. The girls follow close behind and we run down to the wand. I gasp at the sight of the wand right in front of us
"It's beautiful" I whisper
"It is" Carlos whispers and out of the corner of my eye I see him look at me. I get a weird feeling in my stomach that i've never felt before but shake the thought off. I look over at Jay who was obviously planning something. He bends down and grabs onto the rail
"Jay, don't!" Mal shouts. He goes under the rail and smirks
"Wait! No, Jay!" I shout, running round to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and try to stop him.
"No! Don't!" Jay puts his hand out, causing him and I to get blasted back. Then a siren starts going off. Carlos runs over and shakes me
"You okay?" He asks, my eyes fluttering. I nod and he helps me up
"Well done, Jay!" I shout
"A force field and a siren?!" Carlos shouts
"That's just a little excessive" Jay groans
"Only for the dumb" I frown at him
"Let's go!" Mal says. We all run after her and go right, quickly turning around and going left instead. We run down the stairs and I grab Carlos's hand "Hurry!" Mal whispers
"It's okay" Carlos whispers to me, squeezing my hand.
"I'm not scared" I laugh and look at him "This is fun!" I cheer. We run the way we came from just as a phone starts ringing. Carlos picks up the phone and I look at him
"What are you doing?!" I whisper
"Uh,.. just give me one second. One second" He checks something and turns the alarm off "Yeah, yeah, no. False alarm! It was a malfunction in the LM 714 chip in the breadboard circuit" He says causing me to smirk at his intelligence "Yeah, okay! Say hi to the mrs" He smiles "Ah, yes! Oh, My mrs is here with me, she brought me lunch!" He smirks at me and hands me the phone
"What?!" I whisper. I take the phone and from at him "Hellooo?" I ask "Ah! Hey! Yes! You know how it is, can't keep myself away from him these days, it just gets so quiet at home" I laugh "Okay, bye, bye" I smile. I put the phone down and Carlos picks me up "Carlos!" I laugh. He carries me out and then places me down "You're so smart" I laugh
"What are you on about?" He asks
"'LM 714 chip in the breadboard circuit'" I mimic him
"Oh that!" He laughs nervously "What can I say?" He smirks. I roll my eyes and look into his eyes, as he looks into mine "Ben was right, you know? Your eyes are so beautiful" I smile, that weird feeling in my stomach forming again
"I know" I smirk "I've been told" He moves a stand of hair out of my face and returns the smile
"Guys!" Evie calls, snapping us out of it
"Coming!" We both shout
"Way to go, Jay! Now, we have to go to school tomorrow!" Mal groans
