Two best friends. That's all they are... or so they thought. Auradon is a place full of pretty pink princesses and preppy princes. Will that get the best of the 5 VK's? Will they be able to stand it? Or will they cower at the thought of becoming one...
"Are you okay?" Carlos asks, passing me a warm drink and some biscuits
"Thank you" I smile "And yeah... I guess"
"Are you ready to talk?" Ben asks. I nod and they all sit down in front of me
"Take your time" Mal reminds me with a reassuring smile
"Carlos and I were just laying in bed. We were cuddling. And then suddenly everything just went black" I explain
"Did you see anything?" Mal asks
"The clouds... they covered all of Auradon. Everyone's memory was wiped. No one remembered who they were or who anyone else was. It was like Auradon was being...... re-written"
"Re-written?" Jay asks
"Yeah. Like we were all starting over. We didn't know anyone and nobody knew us. Our lives would start over. No memory of anything from before. Nothing"
"Omg..." Evie whispers, holding Doug's hand
"Auradon became the isle of the forgotten" I state, looking at Carlos. His eyes widen, knowing what I was talking about
"What's she on about?" Mal asks
"I was telling her a story last night. About us 5. It was made up though so I changed our names. I called the isle the 'isle of the forgotten'"
"So what?" Jay asks
"So what?" I frown "What if Auradon turns into a grave yard and Nobody remembers their lives"
"Y/N" Ben states, catching my attention "Is there anything else?" I think for a second and nod
"People don't just lose their memories. I saw something- Someone" I correct
"Someone?" Mal asks "Was it the same person that injured you on our flyover?"
"I think so" I nod "It was hard to tell. There was too much fog"
"We can warn Auradon" Ben states "They deserve to know what's going on"
"You was the one who wanted to keep it from them to begin with" I frown
"It wasn't important until now"
"Wasn't important?" I scoff "Protecting Auradon is our main priority"
"No. It's our main priority" He say, pointing between him and Mal
"Ben, you really don't want to mess with me right now. I just took a hit for your pregnant wife" I reply
"I didn't ask you to do that"
"You don't need to ask me, Ben! Because that's what a priority is! It's my priority to protect Mal! Where were you?!" My eyes glow red and I see a small smirk form on his face
"I was there" He nods
"Move" I mutter
"What?" Carlos asks
"MOVE!" I shout. I conjure my magic to create a barrier between us and Ben as a purple light erupts from his hands towards us Reference image:

"What the heck?!" Carlos shouts, his voice cracking a little. I strain to fight against him but hold my ground
"Let me in, Y/N" Ben shouts
"Leave my friends alone!" I scream, using all my power to keep the barrier strong.
"We both know I'm not after them" As he says this, I hold my right hand towards him and start fighting back (as seen in the gif). His feet start sliding back and he eventually loses his grip and falls
"Y/N" Mal rushes to my side and holds my hands as I begin to feel faint
"We need to get her out of here" Evie says. Carlos picks me up bridal style and we all head out into the car
"But Ben" I whisper, looking at him
"I'll handle him" Mal nods, walking back into the house
"Mal, no!" I call but my voice was quiet and drowned out by the wind "Carlos, stop her"
"She knows what she's doing" He tells me. He lays me down in the back of the car and gets in the drivers. Evie and Doug sit with me in the back and Jay sits in the front with Carlos
"What just happened" Doug mutters
"The usual" I state, rubbing my head
"That wasn't Ben" Evie sighs
"I think we gathered that" Jay answers sarcastically
"She's just speaking her thoughts, Jay. Leave her alone" I frown
"Sorry, Miss Grumpy"
"Do you want me to spell you?!" I threaten, conjuring my magic in my hands
"No! No! I'm sorry" He says, surrendering
"Apologise to Evie"
"Sorry, Evie" He smiles, nervous laughs escaping his lips as he turns back around "You got a feisty one" I hear him whisper to Carlos
I roll my eyes and look at Evie, smiling as I take her hand. We park outside of Auradon Prep and run inside to find Fairy Godmother. After a while of searching we bump into Jane
"Jane!" I call. She turns around and smiles, walking over to us
"Hey, guys" She says, smiling at us but staring at Carlos longer
"We need your help..." I see her staring at Carlos "... If you can stop staring at my fiancé" She looks at me and I smile sarcastically
"I wasn't staring" She shrugs
"Sure" I frown. Carlos wraps his arm around my waist and holds me close
"What am I going to say?" He whispers in my ear
"Play nice" I mimic in a weird voice
"I don't sound like that"
"You definitely do" I smirk. He laughs and kisses my nose. We turn back to Jane and I speak up first
"Where's your mom?" I ask
"In a meeting with Ben... why?"
"Ben...?" Evie gasps
"Yeah" Jane nods "He said he needed to speak to her urgently"
"Where are they?!" Carlos asks
"I think she said something about the enchanted lake"
"Come on" Jay groans. Carlos grabs my hand and we all race down towards the enchanted lake
"I'll meet you guys there" I tell them and conjure my magic. I jump off the ground and fly into the air Reference image:

"Y/N, wait!" Carlos calls but I was too far in front to turn back so I carried on going
I needed to get there to make sure the area was safe before the others arrived. I didn't want them to run into a trap...
But as I flew, a million questions kept replaying in my mind Who was that guy within the clouds? Who is controlling Ben? Is it the same guy I saw? Is he a mind controller? What else can he do?
