"Girls..." Mal sighs, walking in. We all look at her and see the concern on her face. Evie and I look at each other and get up
"Stay here" I tell the kids and Carlos with a smile. They all nod and we follow Mal into the glass part of the house "What's up?"
"The Queens crown and my moms sceptre have been stolen..." I let out a little gasp and Evie's hand flies to her mouth
"Who else knows about this?" Evie asks
"No one" Mal laughs nervously "I mean, think about it. People are scared enough as it is. We have to employ entirely new security measures" Evie looks up quickly
"Will this delay our bringing over more VK's?" She asks
"We're talking about closing the barrier for good..."
"What?! You said no, right?" I ask. Mal looks at me confused "Come on, Mal. The five of us are living our best lives here. This is the dream that every VK kid has!"
"We finally get to share that" Evie sighs
"Exactly. What could be more important than that..?" I agree
"Yeah.." Mal nods "I know" She sits down and sighs "I mean, maybe security.. or maybe peace of mind.. for everyone in Auradon"
"Is that what they're thinking?" Evie asks "M, are they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in or out of the Isle ever again?"
"What, we never get to go back and see our friends?" I ask
"Or our parents?" Evie sighs
"Okay, that... not so much" I laugh nervously "Last time I checked I was on my mothers 'behead' list" I shrug
"But What about the kids..." - Evie
"She has a fair point... we promised them that they could go back and visit whenever they wanted" I frown
"Yeah, I know.." Mal sighs
"M, I am so glad that you are going to be Queen" Evie smiles "You will be apart of these conversations"
"You will stand up for the VK's" I nod "We know you will" I say as I take Evie's hand on the 'We'.
"Thank you for telling us" Evie hugs her "You're gonna be a great Queen" Mal smiles and I walk out with Evie and into the kitchen
"Morning! Got the beach towels!" Carlos smiles, bringing the towels in
"Good morning" I smile to the boys. Carlos pecks my cheek and then sets everything into baskets
"I think she's really going to like the cake, you guys" Carlos smiles, looking at Janes cake
