Chapter 36 • Consequences

-Y/N's POV-
I ended up falling asleep on Sapnap's shoulder for the whole plane ride since I never slept last night.

He woke me up by shaking my shoulders when we arrived in California.

SAPNAP:
"We're here."

I stretched my arms up while keeping my eyes closed with a yawn.

Y/N:
"Five more minutes." I mumbled while turning my head, trying to get in a more comfortable position.

He laughed.

SAPNAP:
"We don't have 5 minutes, babe."

I groaned then sat up, opening my eyes.

SAPNAP:
"We can sleep once we get to the house."

I sighed in defeat then he stood up, reaching his hand out to help me up. Once I grabbed his hand, we walked hand in hand out the doors along with the other passengers. My eyes were halfway open as Sapnap carried most of my weight since I was exhausted.

As we were walking, I suddenly stumbled and almost fell as my eyelids shut without me realizing it. My eyes shot open as I gasped, gripping Sapnap's arm.

He giggled while looking at me.

Y/N:
"My insomnia kept me up, don't judge." I sighed while rubbing my eye then his smile faded.

He looked down at the floor for a moment then his head shot up to me with a smile.

SAPNAP:
"I can carry you if you want."

I smiled widely.

Y/N:
"I want."

He bent down, "Hop on."

I hopped on his back as he held my legs up. I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck so I wouldn't fall then I kissed his cheek.

Y/N:
"Thanks babe."

I saw his cheeks heat up before I closed my eyes again, being comfortable in his embrace. Sapnap giggled again then started to walk us to the baggage claim.

Shortly, we arrived then he grabbed my suitcase and set it down then rolled it as we made our way outside. He released my suitcase then pulled out his phone to get an Uber for us.

Soon, the Uber pulled up and I had to hop off of him. I groaned in annoyance since I was comfortable. We climbed in the back seat then he gave the man my address.

After that, I leaned my head on Sapnap's shoulder as I already tried to fall asleep again. Sapnap kissed my forehead as he held my hand. I giggled in response then he kissed my forehead again which made me laugh more.

Y/N:
"Stop silly, I'm trynna sleep."

SAPNAP:
"I'm trynna make you laugh, silly. I missed hearing it."

My eyes slowly opened as I frowned. I looked at his bandages on his wrists, remembering.

Y/N:
"We need to talk when we get back, okay?" I shot my head up to him.

He nodded slowly, I could tell he looked anxious.

I stayed awake for the rest of the drive since my thoughts overcame me once again. After the 25 minute drive, we finally made it back to my house.

I paid the Uber with some cash from my pocket then he sped away, leaving Sapnap and I on the sidewalk. We looked up at my house as we held hands. I breathed out in relief, feeling safe again.

SAPNAP:
"Looks the same."

Y/N:
"Sorry that heartbreak doesn't make me redecorate." I laughed.

He rolled his eyes then I led him to my light blue front door. I took out my keys then unlocked the door moments later. Swinging open the door, our eyes fell to the figures sitting down on the couch. Our eyes widened, they stood up.
