Sab
Two more weeks and I'm done with Architecture even to this school. Totoong mamimiss ko ang lahat at nanghihinayang ako pero para sa baby ko, wala naman akong di magagawa.
"Beb..."
"Hmmmmn?"
"Okay ka lang?"
"Oo."
"Bukas na last day ng finals."
"Bukas na din ang last day ko dito."
"You really would be dropping out Beb? We can find ways naman siguro for you to continue here."
"No na Ian, we've already talk na diba?"
"Hindi ba unfair yun Beb? Magstop ka na nga tapos hindi pa ikaw ang magtutuloy ng Architecture?"
"Hindi, kasi tatapusin mo yang Architecture, magiging proud ako na Architect ang Beb ko."
Ian smiled and I hugged him.
"Uwi na tayo?"
My turn to smile.
I asked my parents to let me stay with Ian this sem break. First is because I don't want my parents to spend more on me. Pupunta kasi sila sa Germany and I realized that the plane tickets were not a joke. It just cost too much. Second, I don't know how to face Nana and Lolo. I don't want to see another beautiful person's heartbreak because of me. And lastly, I want to spend time with Ian so we both can prepare what's coming for us.
"Sab, you sure you will not be coming with us?"
"Kulit Ada ha."
"But why?"
"Well, can't fly because the baby in my tummy might get sick."
"That's absurd Sab, Ate's with us naman, she's a doctor and Mommy, and Myelle."
"Wag ka na lang makulit kaya Ada."
"But I'll miss you."
I smiled. Akalain mong yung lagi kong kaaway eh mamimiss naman pala ako! I hugged Ada.
Kung iisipin talaga itong anak ko parang kapatid lang ni Ada, mas malaki pa ang gap ni Ate at Ada kaysa sa gap nila ng baby ko.
"Ada, anjan na si Kuya Ian, aalis na si Sab."
"Pero Ate!"
"Sumunod ka na sa akin sa kwarto mo! Ayusin na natin gamit mo hindi yung si Myelle na naman gagawa ng lahat! Halika na! Sab, magiingat ka and update me every now and then."
"Yes Ate."
"Kulit! Halika na!"
"Babye na Sab. I will miss you."
"Oh, I will miss you too Ada, wag ka makulit doon ha. Myelle will let you do whatever you want pero I will pull your hair pagbalik mo if you'll not going to be a good girl."
"I am always a beautiful good girl."
"Hindi ka kamukha ni Ate, hindi ka maganda."
"Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Mommy sabi ni Sab di daw ako maganda!"
I smiled at Ada, haii, I pray that she won't end up like me. That all my sisters won't ever be like me, a disappointment to my parents.
Kagaya nga ng napagkasunduan, Ian fetched me and brought me to his apartment.
"Beb, morning!"
"Ang aga mo gumising ah."
"Syempre para sa mag-ina ko."
