HOMECOMING: WHEN YOU SLEEP

Being powerful came with its fair share of pros and cons. Knowing that no one could lay a finger on you was really enough to fuel just about anyones ego.
Having the kind of power to cause catastrophic events without even knowing it, now that was horrifying.
For Violet she truly didn't know what exactly she was capable of. After seeing into Tony's memories she wondered what it all meant. Did him repeating the words he used to describe her at one point trigger this new ability? And if it did, why? Why is this new power being revealed now of all times?
The enhanced groaned in distress before slapping her hands onto her face "fuck my life." she mumbled.

Today Violet was not in the slightest mood to be at school. The events from last night caused her to pull an all nighter; she tried to sleep many times but not once would her mind shut down. Reign greeted the girl at the entrance with a raised eyebrow "you didn't sleep last night did you." "It's that obvious?"
"If you want the honest answer then yes. You look like a fucking raccoon." Reign couldn't help but laugh knowing that she looked worst than he did even though he was the one hungover.  Violet slapped his head "whatever. Maybe this way people won't bother me today." "People don't talk to you anyways. You're scary."
She gasped "I am not!"
"Right right," he pointed at her "you're just a person who could break down this entire school if you really felt like it." violet listened as he whistled while rocking on his feet "not scary at all." Reign finished his mocking comment with a grin making violet slightly laugh. One thing she loves about being around him is that he isn't afraid to make jokes out of her/her powers. He never meant any real harm and she knew that. It was refreshing for someone to treat her like a normal person and not avoid mentioning her powers because after all that's what made her special. 
"What happened to you last night?" reign asked as she put her books away into the locker, she sighed "so much." violet shut it and turned to face him "i learned that I have another ability, tony called me a weapon of mass destruction, oh and to top it all off Wanda forged my signature on the sokovia accords which is why I never got arrested."
"Wow." he was left speechless at everything that had occurred after she left the party.
"Yeah. I just don't understand why wanda did that. I mean seriously she knew I didn't like the accords." "Don't you think she did that to protect you?" violet furrowed her eyebrows at his question "Wanda probably forged it knowing that you were too stubborn to sign it yourself. I'm sure she didn't do it with any bad intentions, she is your sister after all."
The more she thought about it the more it made sense maybe that's why tony said out of everyone i deserve a chance at a normal life. "I guess. I'm not really mad at her or anything i'm just confused as to why it was kept a secret from me and why didn't i realize sooner that tony was lying." "Maybe because you trust him to tell you the truth."
Violet nodded, "yeah. I do. But that trust is gone since he called Wanda and I weapons of mass destruction behind my back, so from now on i'm never believing anything he says." Reign shrugged at the girl, "if that's what you think is best then do what you have to do." he motioned his head towards the hall "let's get you to class."
Just as they were about to go to down the hall Violet spotted a familiar face. "Hold up give me a second" she told before running to the person, "hey you're the girl I saved yesterday!"
Lilianna whipped her head to the side smiling when seeing who was talking "Violet! I didn't know you go here." "Yeah I started here not too long ago. You uh, having trouble there?" Violet asked pointing towards the lock.
She groaned "yes. No matter what i've tried this stupid thing just won't open."
Violet smirked "yeah well these things are old as shit. You kinda just have to-" she shimmied with the lock while entering the combination, exclaiming "ta-da!" the moment it opened.
Lilianna's eyes sparkled as it happened making Violet smile. "Thanks!"
"Don't mention it. So are-" "Liliannaaaa." Lilianna's eyes shut and she released a heavy, clearly irritated sigh "what do you want Casimir." a boy who looked strikingly similar to Lilianna joined them "do you have lotion? I feel kinda dry."
While searching through her bag for the bottle she introduced the two "oh right! This is my brother Casimir, Casimir this is Violet."
"Violet? Like the avengers Violet?" his eyes lit up as he stared into Violet's. The enhanced squinted before hesitantly nodding, he gawked. "Why are you talking to my sister?? She isn't worthy to even stand next to you." Lilianna slapped his stomach making him yelp-violet watched the exchange in confusion. "O..okay."
"He's a big fan of the avengers. Like, a nerd."
"Shut up."
Violet laughed and rubbed the back of her neck, "i'm flattered but i'm not that cool y'know?" "Are you kidding me you're insane! Wait how come you go to  school?"
"Oh tony and I thought it'd be a good idea to have friends my own age." "You're so humble to willingly be around us plebs." he appeared as if he was going to start crying making violet extremely concerned. Her lips parted before they promptly closed again,  not knowing how to respond to that.
"Sorry about him. He's annoying." 
"No no it's totally okay, just think of me like a friend."
"Friend?" Casimir's orbs widened greatly "i'm friends..with..violet. Holy shit!" he ran away in excitement; stopping one random student just to say "hey you! i'm friends with violet!" before sticking his tongue out and leaving again.
The girls watched it all happen, both feeling slightly embarrassed by his sudden outburst. "Yeah that's my brother." lilianna disappointingly said.

Class
Violet sat with her back facing the wall while conversing with Peter who's chin was resting on his hand and ned who sat right in front of him. They continued to discuss random topics until Casimir walked into class looking extremely lost.
She waved ushering for him to join the three and so he did; practically bouncing up and down with joy violet couldn't help but giggle. "Hey violet!" "Hey, you want to sit here?"she pointed at the seat right in front of her's, he nodded rapidly.
Peter confusingly watched the two who is this guy? His best friend continued to make small talk with Casimir almost completely forgetting about his existence. Peter grew irritated and loudly tapped on his desk gaining her attention.
"Friends of yours?" Casimir asked glancing between the two, she nodded and pointed "Best friends. Ned and this is Peter." They greeted each other with head nods "Casimir just moved here from San Diego with his sister Lilianna."
"What's it like in San diego?" Ned questioned "i've heard the weather is nice."
Casimir laughed "yeah it is. Nothing but clear skies and sunny days." he responded before turning back around to face the whiteboard considering that the teacher had now joined the class.
