Scene: Miss Bustier's Classroom.
Mr. Damocles is addressing the class.
"You only have one day to work on your fashion piece, and it must be your own design. In ten hours your fittest presentation will be judged by none other than the great fashion designer Gabriel Agreste," Mr. Damocles says as Miss Bustier shows the class a picture of Gabriel on the projector. "The father of our very own student Adrien Agreste."
Kalianna stares at the back of Adrien's head dreamily.
"In fact, Adrien will model the winning design in his next photoshoot!" Mr. Damocles reveals.
Marinette gasps in delight while Giselle perks up at the statement.
"And now, to announce this year's theme," Mr. Damocles says while Miss Bustier disclosed a derby hat on the screen. "Derby hats!"
"Derby hats?" Marinette questioned, looking at Alya before at Chloé, who makes a thumbs-down gesture to her.
Scene: Courtyard.
"This. Is. Perfect!" Giselle says as she and Kalianna sit down on a bench. "This could be your chance for Adrien to model your hat at his photoshoot! You do know how to make hats right? Considering how you designed a whole hoodie for him on his birthday."
"Well, I've made a few hats before to go with my mother's designs. Some of them were even derby hats." Kalianna revealed.
"Awesome! I'm pretty sure Mari-Trash is gonna try and win the competition to get Adrien to wear her hat. So your gonna have to come up with a derby hat that's better than hers!" Giselle smirks.
"But even if I do, how do you know I'll win?" Kalianna asked worriedly.
"Even if you don't, at least your hat will look better than Marinette's." Giselle nudges the noirette.
The rainbownette then noticed Adrien walking over to Alya and Marinette who were on a bench.
"Ooo, there's Adrien!" Giselle got up and grabbed Kalianna's hand. "Let's go over to him."
"But-whoa!" Kalianna yelped as Giselle dragged her up from the bench and began power-walking towards Adrien with Alya and Marinette, who was peeking at Adrien from behind the bench.
"...You're super talented, Marinette. You seriously have a good chance of winning." Adrien praised Marinette after he saw the sketches in the sketchbook of Alya's lap.
Meanwhile, Giselle and Kalianna had stopped behind the group.
"Well, um, yeah! I... like-- um, designs that-- um, go..." Marinette stammered. She sees Alya giving her two thumbs up. "Upwards?"
Adrien raises an eyebrow in confusion and shock while Alya gives the bluenette an X motion to stop talking.
