Chapter 16 - 【Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold】

Everyone avoided Cale like he was a plague, even Eren maintained his distance from the redhead as he couldn't help but feel fear crawl up his entire being.

Only Kenny(who was carrying Choi Han) and Levi stuck close to the redhead while the others avoided them.

The reason was his Dominating Aura is activated and he have this cold expression etched on his face. Seeing that no one is approaching them, Erwin must have been successful in clearing the scout's reputation and Cale's.

"L-Levi Heichou! Commander Erwin sent me to get you and Cale-sama!"

Levi jabbed Cale lightly to stop scaring the poor soldier, so the redhead calmed himself and deactivated his Dominating Aura.

"Get a medic first for Young Master Han." Levi commanded then pulled Cale towards Erwin's office.

They found the blonde man with a black eye inside as he was talking to Commander Pyxis. Cale still kept silent as Levi did all the talking and reported what happened in Eren and Historia's rescue mission.

"I see. We have news for the two of you." Erwin said with a grim expression.

"What is it?" Levi asked as he sipped the served tea towards him.

"It's Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover." Cale stopped midway in sipping his own refreshment as he looked at the two Commanders.

"What about them?"

Erwin sighed, "They attacked Alberu Arlelt. It was later known too that they were the ones who attacked Young Master Han and left both of them half dead."

The cup in Cale's hold broke as he stood up with a cold face, his eyes asking where is Alberu.

"What about Miss Carla? Is she okay?"

"She is, thankfully. We sent her under Keith's care for the mean time."

Cale then left without further ado, Hanji accompanying him towards Alberu's ward.

Hanji looked worried at Cale's condition, the redhead was too pale for his own good. She can also see how he wobbled sometimes as she helped stand in his own feet for a little while.

"You should rest too, Cale."

The redhead didn't answer as Hanji opened the door, revealing both Alberu and Choi Han resting in their respective beds soundly, both were littered with fatal injuries as doctors continued to check their conditions.

Cale gritted his teeth as he slumped on the floor.

"I'll kill him."

Cale Henituse is angry as he ran all the records he have containing the next events that will unfold. As he checked, the Scouts will be on another expedition to protect Eren as he opens the basement in their old house.

"I'll kill that fucking bastard."

Bertholdt and Reiner must have received orders from Zeke to hurt the two closest people to him, and Cale does not have a single clue how he knew that. He just know that he will smack that bastard in his back.

Cale sighed as he brushed back his hair in annoyance, then looked at Hanji.

"Let's go back to Erwin. You're planning to make Historia the next Queen, right? Then go back to retake Wall Maria."

"How did youㅡ"

"It doesn't matter. I have a plan."

Historia killed her father that was turned into a titan then crowned Queen after a few days. And she was planning to make Choi Han her aide as long he remains in this world. Cale didn't bother to comment at that as he went again towards Erwin's office to discuss the plans.

Eren was worried, seeing the bags slowly forming under the redhead's eyes and how he's becoming more thinner than it is.

Armin was the one who knocked at the door, then the three of them entered to see Kenny and Levi beside Choi Han's bed.

"So they are from another world?" Kenny said, a flash of disbelief in his face before going silent.

"They are."

"Levi Heichou? Is it alright to tell him that easily?"

Levi scoffed, "Don't worry, I got permission from Apple brat."

Mikasa then nodded, "So you are an Ackerman? I am Mikasa Ackerman." She introduced.

"I see. It's nice to meet another relative after a long time."

"Sir Kenny, I'm sorry but can I know what is your relationship with Young Master Han?"

Kenny was surprised at first before telling them.

Choi Han's father is Uri Reiss, which is Kenny's friend. So basically, Kenny was one of the people who saw Choi Han grow up in those fifteen years.

They sometimes sparred, exchanged tips in each other's weaknesses and blind spots, and many more.

"So basically, you acted like an uncle towards him?" Kenny reluctantly nodded which made Levi grumble.

Of course he would, he's the biological nephew but the bastard left him saying he can't be a father and whatnot.

"Ahaha, my own nephew is jealous."

"I'm not fuck off. On that thought I'll be the one to fuck off since Erwin called me earlier."

Kenny grinned and waved teasingly, "Bye bye, have fun." Which only earmed a scowl from the latter.

Eren, Armin and Mikasa also followed since Commander Erwin also called for them earlier.

Levi slammed the door open, the inside was a mess making him snarl being the clean freak he is.

The other mess was Cale heaving labored breathes as he pounded his chest area, but the fucker still kept revising and discussing plans to Erwin who couldn't listen since he's worrying about the redhead's condition.

Eren held both Cale's shoulder as the redhead flinched away from the touch, mainly backing away his left shoulder when the brunette touched it.

"Lets go back. As I have said, the beast titan will be in this area, while Reiner will be on the inside. They would corner you and kill the horses first to stop us from retreating away."

The three looked at each other as Eren sent a pleading look towards Levi to do something about Cale. The redhead was close to becoming a corpse at his condition.

"Oi apple brat. We can't listen if you look like you're gonna dig your own grave right now. Just rest for the night."

Cale frowned, "I'm fine. I'll rest after I tell you the enemy's possible tactics."

Everyone winced at how stubborn the redhead is.

"Cale, do you perhaps, know the beast titan?" Armin asked, genuinely curious albeit worried at Cale.

"I do."

Cale then looked at everyone before grunting, "That bastard did everything he can to have a drop of my blood for almost a month..."

"So you are saying he's also a shifter like Eren?"

He was reluctant, before proceeding, "Yes, and my memories also have gaps in them."

"Explain in a more understandable way you brat."

Cale tapped his temple twice, "I have an ability to record everything I see and save it in my head. For example, how Erwin's eyebrows twitch everytime you snatch away the cookies Hyung-nim saved for him."

Hanji snickered before coughing awkwardly.

"As I was saying, there shouldn't be any gaps in my memories. This is only a theory, but I think that bastartd did something to me considering how my ancient powers are declining."

Eren have a foreboding sensation crawling in his spine, "What was the beast titan's name?"

Cale was silent for a full minute before proceeding to drop the bomb.

"His name is Zeke Jaeger. Eren's half-brother."
