chapter 4

Lanique

Nique stood out at the stop sign her and dre meet up at everyday. He was kind of late but, nique knew what he was doing. He sold weed from time to time so that he could provide for his mom and sisters.

"I'm sorry I'm late" dre said running up to her. She rolled her eyes before they began walking.

"What nique, you know what I gotta do" dre said with his arms out.

"Nothing drequan, now come on" nique said almost yelling. She wanted him to get a real job. She one day tried to reason with him but, he wouldn't listen.

As they walked to school they talked a little more until they finally made it. They parted ways as they made their way down the hall way.

Drequan

"Aye I heard you fought that nigga bryan" one of dres team mates Jordan said.

"Yea" dre said. They were in the locker room just chilling. They never went to first period because, it was only a review period

"I heard it was over nique, you must like her something" Jordan said with a smirk.

"No I dont" dre said trying to play things off.

"We'll if you don't get her I will when her baby drops" Jordan said he was only messing with dre.

"No the fuck you ain't either. I'll fuck you up first" dre said angrily. Jordan bust out laughing because, he knew that dre was so sprung.

"See I knew it, you tryna fight me and shit over a girl. So that proves everything" jordan said coming out of his laughter. Dre just glared at him but, he knew that jordan was telling the truth.

Nique

"Girl did you here about reyna and aneiceia fighting" Tasha said to nique. Nique was already annoyed with her and they were only in 4th period. She hated that Tasha always got in peoples business being messy. Half the time she didn't know what she was talking about.

Nique was glad that she had to leave early so that she wouldn't have to deal with annoying Tasha.nique was finally going to figure out the gender of her baby.

"No" nique said not paying to much attention to her. Afterwards nique turned back towards the front trying to pay attention. All of a sudden her phone began to vibrate. She took it out of her pocket to see a text from dre saying he was going to take to her doctors appointment. Her mother always missed out on things. Its like every sense nique got raped and Melvin was put in jail she found ways of getting out of things.

"Um, Mrs.lanique go to the front office you have been signed out" her teacher mrs.gudici said. Nique then got up grabbing her things and walking out into the hall. She made the trip to the office until she had finally made it. She got there to see a smiling dre.

"Ready to go" dre said grabbing her stuff. She just nodded as they made there way out of the building. They then got in the car on there way to the clinic. Dre had to borrow his friends car.

30 minutes later

"These fuckin nurses take forever" dre said as they sat in the waiting room.

" yea I know but, I hope I'm having a little girl" nique said smiling a little.

"Nah, let it be a boy so I can teach him how to play basketball" dre said throwing his hands up like he was hooping. Pretty soon the nurses called lanique back in the back for her ultrasound.

"Right in this office" nurse Angie said. She then turned on the monitors and got the gel to put on niques belly.

"Ahh, that's cold" nique said shivering a little. The nurse then began rubbing the remote around niques belly.

"Theres the little hands and theres the head" nurse Angie said. Dre looked at the screen in amazement. He wished that lanique would just let him be the father of her child.

"Well Mrs. Lanique are you ready to find out the gender of your baby"nurse Angie said. Nique just nodded as nurse Angie did her work.

"Well looks like you're having a little boy congrats" nique was a little upset because, she wanted a girl so she could dress her up. Either way she would still love her child.

"Yea" dre said clapping. He had finally got what he wanted. Nique glared at him causeing him to laugh.

"Well that's it, I hope you enjoy your baby boy when he comes. Remember to be back in two months" nurse Angie said walking out. Nique pulled down her shirt as her and dre made there way out of the building.

They decided to just take the rest of the day off from school. No more words were exchanged as they made there way home.
