Drequan

Dre sat outside his moms house contemplating on weather to go in or stay in the car. He knew that he had to this one day and turning back wouldn't be an option. He looked back at quari before getting him out.

"Well here goes nothing" dre said to his self before letting out a sigh. He made his way up to the door knocking softly.

"Who is it" tiana Dre's twelve year old sister said.

"Its me TT, open the door" dre responded back. Tiana opened the door in awe. She hasn't seen her brother in two months and it felt like she would never see him again.

"Are you just going to stand there or give your big brother a hug"? Dre said with a smile. Tiana ran into Dre's arms almost wanting to cry.

"Oh my gosh who's adorable little baby do you have" tiana said holding back her tears.

"This is my son and you're nephew" tiana had instantly got happy but, she was shocked at the same time. She wanted answers on how dre had gotten a girl pregnant so quickly.

"Dre you know mamas gonna kill you but, he's just so dorn adorable. Let me hold him".

" calm down girl ill explain everything later and speaking of mommy where is she?" Dre said getting nervous again. He didn't know how his mom would take things.

"In the kitchen and I'm coming to cause I wanna know what y'all are bout to talk about" this was just like tiana always up in dres business. He knew that he couldn't tell her nothing because, she would just argue back.

Dre walked into the kitchen to find his mom smoking a Virginia slim and drinking a cup of coffee. She had her long curly hair wrapped and had on a house coat.

"Mama" dre said almost stuttering. Dre's mom looked up at him with tears. It had been a long two months and she was afraid her son would be shot out in these streets.

"Baby come give me a hug" she said letting out loud sobs. No matter how disappointed she was in her son she would never give up on him.

"I'm sorry mama" dre said getting on his knees and hugging his mama with tears in his eyes.

"I know baby, I know" Tina said wiping the tears from her and her sons eyes.

"Mama I have somebody I want you to meet" dre said standing up and getting daquari out of tianas hands.

"This is your grandson daquari" tiana wanted to be mad but, some how she couldn't . all she cared about is that god had brung her son home.

"Did you get a girl pregnant drequan" Tina said calmly.

"No, mama this is laniques baby but, I decided to take on the responsibility of being the father. I don't want him growing up without a father like I did. I don't ever wanna leave him like daddy left us". Tina nodded in understanding.

"Are you sure you're ready to raise this child . you know you got basketball and college to think about. I'd be damn if any son of mine is going to stay in this bad ass town" tina said seriously.

"Mama if I have to move in with lanique and take her to Tennessee with me I got this. I will balance basketball and my son. I promise you I got this and I stopped selling dope and I've decided to make my future brighter with him" dre said in all honesty .

"Ok son you're almost grown and I'm proud of you. You're almost at that stage where mama can't think for you no more. As long as you stick to you're words I'm good" dre smiled at his mom. He was glad that he finally had this talk with her.

"Now what'd you say his name was again" tina said looking at the beautiful little baby.

"Just call him q or quari" dre said smiling. He felt so much better.

I'm so sorry readers that I haven't been updating. So many distractions. Also I've been dealing with a lot emotionally . I guess you could say I'm getting over a break up.

Anyways I wanted to do this chapter in dres POV sense its mainly about him. I promise I'll start updating more. I wanted to make this chapter longer to make up for lost time.
