The next morning Hermione fluttered her eyes open. She felt warmth behind her and turned around to find Blaise sleeping. She jumped and fell off her bed. He woke up. "What are you doing in my bed?" She hissed.

"Carried you over here and I got too lazy to walk to my room. Simple." He replied sleepily. He stood up. "Well bye." He said heading out. "Thank you." She mumbled. "Welcome." He replied before leaving.

Two day passed(one more day before Draco would come back) and Hermione was forced to partner up with Blaise since Draco wasn't there and Goyle now hates Blaise and ditched him.

At times she would catch Blaise looking at her but he would quickly look away. She found it rather peculiar I mean, he can't like her right? Why would he like a Mudblood?

Professor McGonagall has hired a new teacher for Defense Against Arts which everyone thought it was really pointless since there was only two months school but she insisted on having students at least know a bit of D.A.D.A especially before the seventh years left.

The next day (a day before Draco supposed to come back) Hermione and her classmates had D.A.D.A and met the new teacher, Professor Ritz.

He looked like he was in his 20s and was tall with jet black hair and dark eyes. He looked like a younger Snape and everyone hoped he didn't act like him either.

"Morning class." He said taking out papers from his briefcase. The class kept silence. "Alright today we look at Nightstalkers. Everyone find a partner and I'll explain everything when we go in to the dungeon."

Hermione quickly walked to Harry but Ron got there first. She turned around to Ginny but saw that Lavender was with her. She desperately glanced around and saw Neville but before she could walk to him, Hannah came up to him.

She groaned and glumly walked to Blaise who seemed to be smiling. "Follow me."

Professor Ritz muttered turning around and swishing his cape. The class pursued him all the way to a dark dungeon where there was a huge metal box slightly shaking.

"Shoulder to shoulder with partner." Professor Ritz mumbled. Blaise immediately moved his shoulder to her shoulder. "He didn't mean it literally." She muttered. "Right." He said getting away slightly.

"The reason why I put you all up with partners is because Nightstalkers attack people alone. If they see two or more people together, they believe them as a couple and do not attack for the fear of themselves getting killed."

"Right, I'm going to let it go now so get back to back with your partner." Everyone got back to back and Professor Ritz opened the metal box and dozen of Nightstalkers came out.

Some students jumped a little but tried their best to stay calm as the Nightstalkers circled them.

They had the body of a coyote but the tail and nose of a rattlesnake and they hissed and showed their fangs.

One hissed at Hermione and opened it's mouth looking like it was about to bit her and she was shaking nervously when Blaise grabbed her hand.

Even though he couldn't see her she still raised her eyebrows at him and realizing what he's dome he quickly let go.

Professor Ritz rounded them up and put them in the enormous box again. "Right, separate from your partner. Look at how different they act. If they attempt to attack you simply just say Shuttoca! That should snap their mouths close so they can't bite."

Everyone took out their wands and separated from their partners.

Professor Ritz opened the box and out came the same dozen Nightstalkers hissing and growling.

A few students shouted Shuttoca at the ones that seemed like they were going to bite.
