Voldemort's army came rushing in to Hogwarts and immediately shot curses that kill at students.

Hermione saw all of this with a look of horror.

Harry brought her to the Room of Requirements where Ginny and all the first and second years were.

"Hermione! Harry!" Ginny squealed and embraced them both. Hermione could feel Ginny's baby bump pressing against her own stomach.

After the hug she asked "Where's Ron?" "Helping the others." Harry replied.

Ginny's face turned into a worried one. "So it really has begun?" She asked in a soft voice.

Hermione nodded and Harry kissed Ginny's forehead. "I won't let Ron die on you." Harry said, making a promise and Ginny slightly smiled.

"But Hermione, stay here." Harry said. Hermione frowned. "I'm the on he is after." She protested. "That's why we have to keep you safe." Harry told her as he walked out the Room of Requirements.

Hermione jogged to the door and twisted the knob but the door didn't open.

"Harry!" She yelled banging her fists on the door. There was no answer.

Ginny pulled her away from the door and gave glares at the first and second years who stared at Hermione as if she was crazy.

Ginny sat next to Hermione. "It'll be fine." Ginny comforted her. "No it's not (Sniff)... If Harry and Ron and all the ones that I care about die (Sniff)...I don't know what to do with myself." Hermione cried with her eyes shining with tears.

Ginny hugged her and Hermione cried quietly.

And so they stayed in that position. The more Hermione heard screams coming from outside of the room, she would sob more. Hermione would jump when she heard explosions as loud as bombs.

She would shudder when she saw sparks flying when she stared at the window.

For one long hour, she bared all of that and frequently exchanging teary and worried looks with Ginny.

"I can't take it anymore." Hermione said softly to Ginny. It was night now and the first and second years were fast asleep. ('How could they sleep with a war going on?' Ginny whispered.)

"You can't leave Hermione." Ginny whispered. "I'll find a way." Hermione whispered before standing up and carefully walking around the room, not to miss any secret exits there may be (and so that she won't trip over a child).

Hermione got the window but it was sealed shut. "What if I find a spell to break open this window or something?" Hermione asked Ginny.

Ginny frowned. "Hermione, you can't leave! You'll get yourself killed!" She whispered loudly.

"So? It's me who he is looking for, it's me why this war is going on, it's because of me students and professors are out there dying!" Hermione hissed at Ginny.

"Yes! And they're doing it willingly just to protect you! You are being a nit wit by not appreciating what they're doing for you!" Ginny fought back.

"I don't want them to die for me Ginny! I'd rather Voldemort to take my life, not theirs!" "It doesn't matter Hermione! Even if you didn't want them to fight for you, they still are going to do..." Ginny's voice trailed off as they both listened to a loud and long thunder.

The whole room began to shake. The children woke up with worried looks.

"Crawl to the corner and stay on the floor!" Hermione warned as she got on all fours.
