Stanford University

Y/N's POV -

7:50 in the morning, exactly 20 minutes late to my first class of university. That stupid alarm clock didn't do shit to wake me up, and it's my first day.

I barge into my first class of the year and kept my head down as I entered the class. "I'm so sorry for being late, my-" "It's alright, get to your seat."

I look up to see a gorgeous woman radiating the most beautiful smile. She continues to stare at me almost lost at words and so as I. The looks we gave were a bit too long.

I took a seat as everyone set their eyes off me, "Okay, good morning everyone. I'm Professor Carter and I'll be teaching architecture for this semester."

She goes on to explain the outline of our lessons, but I can't stop staring at how pretty she is. But I have to stop, she's my professor, I can't think like that.

"Ms. Scott, please stay behind." She calls out my name as everyone else leaves the classroom.

"I really am sorry for being late, I didn't mean to, my alarm didn't go off and I overslept." I kept on rambling about my situation as she stared at me.

"It's okay, we all go through that. But I asked you to stay behind because I've seen and heard about how good of a student you are.

I've seen your grades and outputs and I'm hoping you'll be as good as they say. I just have a really good feeling about you. Here's my business card if you'd be interested in being an intern."

She hands me a card with her business name and number on it. Peggy Carter, a name plastered on the card.

"Oh wow, I really appreciate this. I'll definitely be considering this. Thank you so much, Ms. Carter." I smile at her, appreciating her unexpected gesture.

"Umm, it's Mrs. Carter." She corrects me, showing a hint of hesitation as she did. "Oh my bad." I apologize, taking my things to leave the class.

"However, Ms. Scott, I will be inspecting your punctuality in my class." She walks in front of the door, blocking my way.

I back away from how close she is, my breath hitching as she goes even closer.

I nod my head as my back hit her desk. "I wouldn't want your tardiness to affect your performance in my class." She continues.

I still nod my head as her body touches mine. "Words, darling." She whispers.

I gulp the lump in my throat, finding words to respond. "Y-yes, Mrs. C-Carter."

"Good." She moves away, leaving my body shocked from whatever had just happened.

I grab my things and sprint out of the class.

What the hell was that ?

HILL CO.

I sat in the hall filled with many interns, waiting for our turn.

"Y/N Scott." The assistant called out my name, guiding me into the room.

As I sat down, there's this woman with deep colored eyes and hair, drawing this sort of mysteriousness and intimidation in her aura.

Assuming it was The Maria Hill, I shook her hand.

"Good morning, Ms. Hill. My name is Y/N Scott." I introduce myself as she continues to look at me.

"Good morning to you too, Ms. Scott. So tell me about yourself." She leans back on her chair, waiting for my response.
