Y/N's POV -

As I was going through reports, someone knocked on my door. I wasn't expecting anyone.

"Loki ?" I opened the door to see him standing there. "What are you doing here ?" I asked him, letting him enter.

"I just wanted to visit. These are for you." He handed me a vase of beautiful flowers. "Wow ! They're beautiful. Do you want something ?" I asked as I placed the vase on my table.

"No, I'm good." He replied. I sat with him on the couch, still surprised at his arrival.

"So, why are you really here ?" I asked him again, knowing he doesn't do random visits. "I just wanted to check up on you." He smiled, not clearly bringing up the topic, but I know it's about my latest news.

"How are you, darling ?" He gave me a pitiful smile, placing his hand on my thigh.

"I'm good." I responded, but his expression didn't believe otherwise. "Loki, I don't know what to tell you. I'm not the one to check up on." I sighed, slouching on the couch.

"Darling, you're as affected as them. It's ok to let your feelings out. I didn't come here to get an 'I'm fine.'" He assured me.

"How about I make you some of my delicious cooking and maybe that'll get you to talk ?" He reached out his hands.

"Only if you make some of that pasta you made last time." I grabbed his hand as he dragged me to my kitchen.

For the past hour, Loki made his end of the deal and cooked some delicious food, and we continued talking for a while.

"No way ! Did you really do that to Thor ?" I laughed at his story. "Yes, it was only fair." He said, referring to the time he left Thor tied up to a pole while he plastered a sign saying, "He's the adopted one."

"Mischievous of you." I grinned. "Why, thank you." He stood up and set the plates in the sink.

"Don't worry, I gave him a snake right after that." He mentioned.

"How about you ?" He asked. "What ? You want to know if I ever tied someone on a pole ?" I laughed, washing the plates.

"No, but I do want to know if you've ever had that sort of relationship with someone. Where no matter how many times you irritate each other, you know that you'll always be there for them at the end of the day." He said, taking over the washing of plates.

I refused to let him do everything from cooking to washing, but he didn't give me a choice, so I sat on the counter.

"Yes, I've had a few of those relationships." I remember the three. "Like Natasha, Carol, Wanda ?" He raised the question, which I know he didn't need an answer to know.

"Besides, from what those articles are saying. What happened ?" He questioned.

"It's a very long story to share, but the shorter version is I loved too many people all at the same time, and they found out, we broke up, I left for five years. Then I came back, and I guess I was selfish enough to ruin their own relationships with my own desires." I explained indifferently.

"You weren't selfish, you were merely very in love." He disagreed, finishing off with the washing. I frowned at the statement, not believing the phrase in love.

"You might not see it or understand it, but from hearing the shortest version of your narrative, I refuse to believe you weren't in love." He stood in front of me as I was still sitting on the counter.

"It's not that I don't believe that I loved them, but a lot has happened for me to accept that sort of feeling." I said as he sat beside me.

"I would like to share with you something that I think would relate to you." He looked at me, asking me if I would like to hear what he had to say.

"Go ahead." I told him.

"I believe that love is a dagger. It's a weapon to be wielded far away or up close. You can see yourself in it. It's beautiful until it makes you bleed."

"It's something that gives you a lot of power when you have it, but it can be a bitch when it cuts you, tearing you apart. But it's important to remember that the pain is a part of the process and brings healing. Soon you'll find someone who will protect that weapon." He explained the metaphor beautifully.

"Do you not believe the saying love should not hurt ?" I asked.

"I do, but you're forgetting its other half, love should not hurt you more than it heals you. And it's not love that hurts you, it's the person." He said.

"I think we've done the deals. Thank you for letting me cook for you." He went off the counter. "I've enjoyed every moment." He added, carefully letting me down.

"Thank you, Loki. I appreciate your effort and your cooking." I laughed, giving him a tight hug.

"Anytime, darling." He smiled before leaving.

After a few weeks of hiding from reporters and journalists, the three shareholders went back to work. Again, they worked past work hours, staying up late in their offices as they ignored the problems of their personal lives.

Once Loki left Y/N's house, he decided to pay them a little visit. It was late, but there was no time to waste with the things he had to say.

"Hello." He greeted the three, who were in Natasha's office working on something.

"Loki ! It's so late, I don't think we have a meeting right now." Natasha said, shocked at his arrival.

"We don't, I'm here for another matter." He said, handing them coffee he bought before he came.

"What are you here for you ?" Carol asked after thanking him for the kind gesture.

"I'm here to talk about your past lover." He said, taking a seat on a chair.

"Y/N ?" Wanda asked. "Yes, I want to know your intentions with her." He mentioned.

'What ?" Natasha huffed. "I know this isn't any of my business and I know none of you are really civil with her, but as her friend, I want to know if she's waiting for nothing." He stated.

"What do you mean ?" Carol asked.

"Y/N is a beautiful being with the same immeasurable loving heart. She loved you and as much as it is hard to believe, she still does love you. I know she's made you question that with the things that have happened between the four of you, but is it really enough to let her question herself." Loki tenderly explained.

"I admire your effort of coming here to tell us this, but I think this is something we have to deal with just Y/N." Wanda smiled.

"I respect that, but I do hope you know how much she truly cares for you." He said, getting up and walking towards the door.

He stopped in between his tracks and looked back at them.

"I may not know the depths of your relationship, but I do know that Y/N is a treasure to be able to seek more so love."
