Chapter 45

Arrived at the Ranch everyone went to their bungalow to catch some sleep while Tracee led Michael into the house and their bedroom

"Wait.... this whole place is ours right?" Michael asked and looked around at the house "See? This I remember like it's yesterday" He smiled at their enlarged wedding picture on the wall "You're still so gorgeous" He added

"Yes everything is ours" Tracee mentioned "You're still that sexy and sweet guy I married too" She smiled at him

"Can I ask something?" Michael asked while Tracee sat down on the bed, needing to sit down, she'd been on her feet too long

"Of course you can ask me anything" Tracee answered and kicked off her shoes

"I've been wondering ever since you said we lost our first baby.... was it difficult to get pregnant again or did we not try again for a while?" Michael asked and sat down next to Tracee

"We tried everything to get pregnant again, several attempts of IVF, they all failed, I also had a second misscarrige and last year when we didn't expect it, I finally succeeded to stay pregnant and gave birth to Melody" Tracee told him

"We went trough all of that? Why can't I remember that? What father forgets the most important day in his child life? The day they are born" Michael replied, frustrated about his lost memories

"Hey, hey, it's not your fault" Tracee told him

"I know, but I whish I remembered everything, it must be annoying to have a husband who forgot most of your marriage" Michael sighed

"We can make new memories and I am glad you do remember me and we're married" Tracee began "I was scared you wouldn't know me or worse.... leave me" She sniffed

"Oh sweetheart I could never forget you or leave you, I love you so much" Michael told her and gently kissed her "I don't know if it's the memory loss or if it's always been like this, but I know I can't live without you" He told her

"I can't live without you either" Tracee sniffed and pulled him a passionate kiss

"How did you manage to get a few days off? I thought you were busy with a new case" Romeo asked Gail once they both lay down on the bed in one of the guestrooms

"I didn't take the case, I've to be in New York next week tho, to sign my partnership contract, one of the old guys is retiring and he picked me to be the new partner" Gail answered

"That's fantastic news, we've to celebrate that" Romeo mentioned

"No, it's not appropriate right now to celebrate something while my sister just found out her husband lost his memory" Gail told him

"Tracee and Michael will be happy for you" Romeo replied

"I know, but I won't feel good about celebrating right now" Gail mentioned

"Let me treat you to a dinner in one of the finest places in the city, either here or in Manhattan" Romeo replied

"Alright" Gail smiled at him

"And maybe we can discuss wedding locations too?" Romeo asked

"Obviously not a church, last time you didn't show up when we were supposed to get married in a church, so I've a church phobia now" Gail reminded him

"I know and I'm sorry I was such a coward" Romeo sighed

"But somehow I still love you" Gail told him

"I love you too, I always have" Romeo told her

"I truly hope everything will be ok with Michael and Tracee" Kaylee mentioned while she cuddled up to her husband
