Chapter 23

The next day,

After some breakfast Michael and Tracee made their way to a tour guide who would tell them everything about the Savannah animals and hopefully they'd be lucky enough to see them in one of the many national wild parks they would be visiting during their stay

"They don't attack people, right?" Tracee asked, just to be sure

"No, but do remember they're still wild animals so it's best to keep all hands, feets and other parts you don't want to lose inside the vehicle at all times" the tour guide explained

"Ok" the couple nodded and climed into the Safari Jeep

"There on your far left there's a family of lion's, they are rescued and brought over to the big cat centre here in South Africa and after they were ready to go back into the wild they went to this wildpark" the driver/tourguide explained

"Does the big cat centre always bring them here?" Tracee asked

"No there's many wild parks in Africa and they bring them to all the parks, same with the other animals" their tour guide explained

"Are the cubs also rescused?" Michael asked seeing a few lion cubs in the group

"Some of them Yes, but others are born here because the lioness was pregnant when she was brought in or there's one male lion in this area who instead of staying with the group and be the head of the 'family' does his own thing and only joins the women when they come back from their hunting trip or when it's mating season for them" the tourguide explained

"But don't they normally kill off the cubs that aren't related to them?" Tracee asked

"Yes but for some reason this guy is different" the tour guide answered

"Is it because he's rescued too?" Tracee asked

"We think so, when we found him a few years ago he was locked in a basement with a cheetah cub" the tourguide told them

"They didn't kill each other?" Tracee gasped

"The cheetah he was rescued with, she's also in this area, sometimes they both are seen together 'chilling' under the same tree" the tour guide explained

"The cheetah is a She, don't they...you know make little cubs?" Tracee asked

"Not that we know of, there's no stippled lion cubs or cheetah cubs with lion manes so far" the tour guide answered

"What I'm just curious, ok" Tracee told Michael who shook his head at her last question

"Dont worry ma'm we get that question all the time here" the tourguide smiled at them

"See I'm not the only curious one" Tracee smiled at her husband before sweetly kissing him

They ended spending all day at the national wild park spotting various animals and listened to the stories the tourguide told them about the animals

By the time they made it back to their room at the resort it was getting dark, they watched the sun set on their balcony before they layed down and quickly fell asleep holding onto Tracee's barley visible mini baby bump

Gail was busy with reorganizing her file closet with current, old and regular clients when there was a knocking on her office door

"Come in" Gail answered assuming it was a co-worker or her boss and continued to reorganize her files

"Oh...you're busy?" La Toya asked

"What are you doing here?" Gail asked surprised to see her sister in law and put her files down

"Well I figured out you'd know where our siblings are? Is the press driving you nuts too?" La Toya asked taking place on the leather couch in Gail's office

"I've been ignoring the media, I don't know exactly where they are tho, all your brother told me was he'd take my sis to a romantic resort" Gail answered taking a sip from her by now cold espresso "Gross it's cold" she made a face and put the cup down

"Let's go to lunch I asked one of those guys in the Armani suits if it's ok to take you out for lunch and the big guy with the mustache said I could" La Toya told her

"That's my boss" Gail told her

"Let's go, I saw a cute little diner across the street" La Toya smiled

"They have great sandwiches and their coffee is my reason to go to work everyday" Gail smiled and got up from her chair, grabbed her purse and keys to lock her office while they had lunch across the street

"You know Jan will also come over tonight, she's busy preparing for her new tour but decided to take a few days off to catch up with you" La Toya mentioned while they enjoyed their lunch

"We could have a girls tonight? It's been too long we did that" Gail mentioned

"Remember every Wednesday we used to have girls night with you, Tracee, Janet and Rebbie and later with just you, Tracee Janet and me when Rebbie got her kids" La Toya remembered

"But then T and Michael got married and it was just us three" Gail added

"And at some point it was just you and Jan" La Toya sighed

"But then life happened, Jan got her career I got mines, T got hers too, I can't remember the last time all of us had a girlsnight, we only see each other these days at family days or when someone decides it's time for a get together and everyone has a free spot in their work schedules" Gail mentioned and sighed

"It's sad right?" La Toya sighed

"Yeah" Gail agreed

"But what did I hear you are back together with the cute nerdie guy Romeo?" La Toya asked changing the subject

"Yes but my nerdie guy turned into a huge building of guy and wears contacts instead of glasses" Gail smiled

"Are you sure it's not his twin?" La Toya teased her

"I'm sure" Gail smiled "You guys will see him tonight" she added

"It's that serious again?" La Toya asked

"Officially no but we do spend everynight together but no he's not moved in yet" Gail told her

"Yea mother told me you live at the penthouse these days and y'all made it one big place now" La Toya remembered

After lunch Gail handed La Toya the keys to the penthouse and told her to make herself at home while Gail finished up at the office and would pick up some dinner on her way home when she was done
