The next day,

While they were in California anyway Tracee decided to visit her friends, Amy was on a holiday, Nicole was on a bussines trip and Jenna was visting her family in Japan with her daughter and ex husband, leaving only Michelle who was happy to spend the day with Tracee while Michael was visting some relatives and spending the day with them

"I'm glad you're in California again, for how long?" Michelle asked once they sat down on the couch enjoying their tea

"Two weeks I've still lots of stuff to do for the fashion week and while I'm here I'll pick up some fabrics at the Ranch as well" Tracee explained

"More fabrics?" Michelle asked raising her brow at her friend

"Yes and my dress for the redcarpet moment too" Tracee mentioned

"I bought an evening gown too, specially for your big fashion show in March" Michelle smiled

"From my previous collection?" Tracee asked

"Duh! You design affordable dresses" Michelle smiled

Meanwhile in Manhattan,

Gail and Romeo were having another date, doing a couples cooking workshop to learn more about cooking but most of all to have a great time

"Your dough looks more like dough" Gail mentioned looking at Romeo's cake dough and her own cake dough

"Maybe yours taste better" Romeo smiled at her

"I dont think so, I got my dad's cooking skills aka non" Gail reminded him

"Your salads are good" Romeo remembered

"A salad doesn't require any cooking it's just putting stuff in a bowl and mix it" Gail replied smiling at him

"It still taste good when you make it" Romeo smiled at her

"Thank you" Gail smiled at him

They continued the cooking lesson and decided to go over to Gails place afterwards for a glass of wine and to spend some more time with each other

"Can I ask you something?" Gail asked him while they sat on the couch, enjoying their wine

"Of course" Romeo answered

"I know you said you had a one night stand in the army or after that but was there not someone you developed feelings for? I know I'm a hypocrite but I don't know I just want to know" Gail asked him

"No, I only had and still have feelings for you, and you're not a hypocrite you were heartbroken and wanted to be loved again I don't blame you for trying and dating other guys" Romeo told her

"I only had sex with one guy tho, Cecil the cheater" Gail answered

"Did you love him?" Romeo asked

"I thought I did but no he was just distracting me from my hearbreak you caused and I told myself if I would ever see you again I'd break more than your heart but I just can't, after all those years I still love you" Gail explained

"Leaving you that day at the church was the hardest thing I ever did, I almost went in but then I remembered no what if I get killed in the army I don't want to do that to my beautiful wife she deserves to be happy even if it's not with me" Romeo told her

"So you decided to be a idiot and sacrifice our happily ever after for a 'what if' option" Gail told him and rolled her eyes at him

"I did it out of love it's not like I wasn't heartbroken or enjoyed doing it, i cried all the way to the warzone and the first few weeks I was so depressed they all thought I lost a loved one at home before we left, technically I did but you didn't die though" Romeo explained with a sad emotion

"I'm glad to see underneath all those muscles there is still that nerdy, sensitive, not afraid to show his emotions guy" Gail smiled at him

"I am who I am, some mucles won't change who I am" Romeo answered

"True" Gail smiled at him "I'm just glad I got you back" she told him

"And I'm glad you wanted to give me a chance to explain everything" Romeo answered

"Only because it's you, for some reason I can't stay mad at you for long" Gail admitted

"I don't intend to ever make you mad at me again" Romeo answered her honestly

"Should we kiss now? Unless you want to be just friends with me and not more" Gail replied

"I'd love to kiss you" Romeo smiled at her

"Then kiss me you fool" Gail smiled at him and wrapped her arms around him

"Gladly" Romeo smiled holding her close and slowly leaned into her while she leaned into him till they kissed, very gentle and soft, almost afraid the other one would break if they would be more 'aggressive', it still was passionate and they both felt the love still very much present in their kiss

--- meanwhile in California,

By the time it was midnight Tracee arrived at the ranch

"How was your day? Did you catch up with the others?" Tracee asked stepping into the bedroom expecting Michael to already be there but the room was empty "Of course I could have expected this" She sighed and made her way to his at home studio, also finding it empty "What the-" she wondered and went looking at the zoo area, the teather, the park and back at the house but no sight of her husband so she made her way back to the gate to ask if the gate security saw Michael come home

Michael arrived in Malibu to pick Tracee up at Michelle's place

"What brings you here?" Michelle asked raising her brow at Michael once she opened her door

"Trace, I'm supposed to pick her up" Michael replied

"She left hours ago, she went back to the Ranch she said" Michelle answered

"Thanks" Michael sighed and went back to the car to call Tracee

"Where are you?" Tracee asked picking up her phone

"Malibu I was supposed to pick you up, remember?" Michael reminded her

"Oh....I forgot I'm at the Ranch already" Tracee replied

"I know that now" Michael replied rolling his eyes started his car again to drive home too, arriving at the gate around 3 AM

Arrived inside the bedroom he found Tracee asleep in the middle of the bed while holding onto his pillow

--- meanwhile in Manhattan,

It was midnight and Gail was cuddled up to Romeo on her couch, asleep while Romeo was still awake finishing watching the movie they were watching together

"Damn that's not what I expected, you?" Romeo mentioned once the movie was finished "Gail?" He asked gently waking her up

"What?" Gail yawned

"You should go to bed and I'll go home" Romeo answered

"No, I mean, stay, there's plenty of room in this big-ass penthouse or in my bed" Gail replied

"I don't think we should share a bed, not yet" Romeo answered

"We're adults you know? It's not like we didn't see each other naked before, we did, plenty of times and the passion we shared was....just perfect" Gail answered ending with a sigh

"Exactly, we are too passionate when it comes to sharing a bed" Romeo told her

"So?" Gail shrugged her shoulders

"Its too soon for now, we just began dating again and haven't even made out yet, we can't just skip that and-" Romeo was explaining when Gail wrapped her arms around him and kissed him passionately

"I wanted to do that for a while now" Gail smiled at him once she let go of him

"Gosh woman you-" Romeo smiled and pulled her in another kiss, he could no longer resist her either

"I missed us" Gail told him

"So have I" Romeo answered and lifted her up while she smiled at him
