Chapter 24

While Gail was spending time with Janet and La Toya at the penthouse re-introducing them to Romeo who spend the nights at the penthouse too

Tracee and Michael enjoyed their time in South Africa, relaxing at the resort and visiting the local big cat centre to volunteer feeding the newly brought over animals, learning about them from the people who take care of them and visting more national wild parks in the area

"I think we should buy a house here, it's so peaceful here" Tracee mentioned while they relaxed under a tree at the border of the wildpark and the resort close to the fence that separated the resort from the wildpark

"And sell the penthouse to Gail?" Michael asked holding her close while gently rubbing her barley noticeable start of a baby bump

"No, more like a vacation house, New York and California are great, beautiful places but let's face it one of us if not both of us end up working too much there while here we both will completely relax and it's also a beautiful place to let our little one experience the different cultures, New York is buzy and the city that never sleeps, California is calmer but still not relaxing enough and South Africa is beautiful and truly a place to totally relax" Tracee explained while holding onto her husband's hand on her mini babybump

"Let's just think about it for now" Michael answered

"Think about it for real ok? It's not baby hormones or pregnancy brain talking, I really mean it, this place is truly beautiful and very calming" Tracee mentioned

After spending a month in South Africa they spend three weeks in Kenya and Tanzania before they went back to South Africa for another week

By the time it was the end of May their stay in Africa came to an end because the tourist season was about to begin

Tracee was five months pregnant in the meantime and really starting show it too, knowing they had to go back to the US at some point they planned on taking a flight that would made them arrive in New York around two am to make sure it's quiet and not too many people around to bother them

By the time they arrived at the penthouse Tracee fell asleep already having Michael carry her inside the building and to the penthouse while security that picked them at the airport carried their luggage and put it in the hallway before leaving while Michael tucked Tracee in on their bed before joining her

Gail was making breakfast in the kitchen and talking on the phone at the same time when Michael was making his way into the kitchen to surprise Tracee with breakfast in bed

"You guys are back? Since when?" Gail gasped and hugged him after she hung up the phone

"Last night" Michael answered

"Where's my sis?" Gail asked

"Catching up on some sleep, she needs her rest after a long flight and the whole time zone thing" Michael reminded Gail

"Y'all still pregnant right?" Gail asked

"Yes five months now" Michael smiled

"So you guys know if it's a girl or a boy?" Gail asked

"No....We havent seen a doctor since doctor Williams checked Trace before we left" Michael answered

"That was in March it's the end of May now!" Gail gasped

"I know, we'll go to Dr Williams office next week" Michael answered

"You guys decided on where you going to stay the next four months?" Gail asked

"No, not yet, I'd say California but knowing Trace she will want to stay here till her water breaks" Michael told her

"You know Trace was so mad at our parents she wasn't born in New York but on the airport in Arizona when they were on their way to New York from California to Boston to start a new life there" Gail mentioned

"I know and she said how unfair it was you did get born in Manhattan when your mother was on her way to get your dad away from the office once he got a job at the law firm there when they had moved to Manhattan in the meantime after living in Boston for four years but they soon moved back to California when you were a few years old" Michael finished the story having heard it before, during the holidays or a family day back when he was dating Tracee

"And now they live in Miami, Trace loves the cold new York winters while she is born in Arizona while I prefer the heat but I'm born in New York" Gail shook her head

"But you're living in New York tho" Michael mentioned

"Yeah, I sold my beach house in Malibu on the beach to move in with Romeo at the time who'd asked me to marry him, loves makes you do stupid things" Gail sighed "I still miss my place in Malibu on the beach" she added and sighed deeply

"Our other halfs love New York dont they?" Michael mentioned

"Yeah they should get together and we could move in on the beach in Malibu living our happily ever after" Gail joked

"Why didn't you say that some fifteen years earlier?" Michael smiled joking too

"Because I had crush on someone else back then" Gail smiled

"You're like my little sister anyway, you could've been twins with Janet" Michael replied

"She's two months older than me" Gail reminded him

"True, by the way Jan and Toy stayed here a few days a few weeks ago she told me when we called on her birthday two weeks ago" Michael replied

"Yes they came over to catch up and ask if I knew more about T's pregnancy than they do but I don't" Gail replied

"Than Who?" Tracee who woke up in the meantime and made her way to the kitchen asked

"Wow I'd never thought I'd see my big sis like that" Gail gasped seeing Tracee's five month old baby bump

"Neither did I but I'm so happy right now" Tracee mentioned and smiled at her bump while carefully holding her baby bump "But you don't know more than Who?" She asked

"Jan and Toya they asked if I knew more than they do about how your pregnancy is developing" Gail answered

"Yeah we kind of spend eight weeks in Africa" Tracee mentioned "By the way you and Romeo should go too, it's so beautiful and peaceful, almost magical" she continued "Romantic too" she smiled at her husband

"TMI sis" Gail cringed

Once they had breakfast Tracee and Gail catched up for the day while Michael catched up on the eight weeks of paperwork for his new charity project
