You're in your own familiar bed when you open your eyes. Images flash past your mind. What the hell was going on in your head until a minute ago?

You groan and turn in your bed. It's still dark outside. And your hair feels damp. Half-awake, you feel your top just to make sure that you're out of the dream. Yeah, you're in a soft tee - definitely home clothes.

Why is your hair wet though? You always dry it after washing...you slip back into the cosy arms of sleep.

There is a giant bell ringing over your head. DK is perched on a wall and laughing at you. You try to speak to him but can't hear your own voice over the deafening ringing. You're afraid that you will actually lose your hearing at this rate - and then how will you make music? Suddenly, you realise that the bell is inside Yoongi's home. Monica is telling you that it is late, the party is over and you should get home. But you still can't speak. Your eyes flutter open as it dawns on you that the whole thing is nonsense - you're obviously dreaming. The throbbing in your head is at a mismatch with the ringtone of your phone. It is the latter that has woken you up. You reach out and answer it.

"Hello?" your voice is woozy and thick.
"Hello? Y/N? You answered my call?"
"Mom?"
"Yeah, it's Mom. Are you not awake yet?"

"I...agh. I am. What - what is it?" you sit up slowly. The time on your phone reads 7:37AM. The headache makes you even more disoriented.

"I wanted to tell you that don't worry too much - I will be in town next week. Hang on until then."
"Hmm okay," you respond automatically.
"Alright, my child. Take care."

The call disconnects. You frown at your phone. You had so many questions to ask her but your brain was refusing to speed up. Even your eyes felt unusually puffy. But of course, you had cried a lot last night. Last night...oh god.

Twenty minutes later, you're stuffing salad in your face in your kitchen. Lily is still in her nightclothes, her curls trapped in a hair tie, as she scrolls through the tab normally carried by Monica. She is saying something about your schedule, but you're busy drilling your brain to remember what happened at Yoongi's place a few hours ago.

You remember going up to the living room.

You remember drinking.

You remember him asking you to stay.

That's when it gets woozy - like a very vivid dream that you remember right until the point you wake up - and then you forget it entirely.

And the next thing you remember is waking up next to him.

What the hell did you do, Y/N?

"Y/N? Are you listening?" Lily snaps.

"I - yeah - just - I feel sick..." you finish apologetically.

"Yeah well, you looked shipwrecked when you returned," Lily answers, "I've been meaning to ask," she switches to a cheeky grin, "what did you do? I mean - for a second I was scared that something bad may have happened because you were crying and not in your clothes and your hair practically dripping -"

You look down at the dark tee and grey joggers. You're pretty sure they are his clothes but you can't for the life of you remember why you're in them.

" - yeah I remember waking up-," - on the floor and running off in panic... The glimpse of the memory makes you gulp. "Oh, god - okay - it is coming back..." Like a glitchy film, your brain replays the events of last night in reverse order.

"What? Tell me!" Lily insists. She has abandoned all pretense of work and is leaning towards you from across the table, her eyes huge.

"Sheesh. I was already in these clothes when I woke up. And I think I told him I'll meet him again today before I left - because I won't be coming back to Seoul for months -" you scratch your head, trying to remember more. "Wait, am I even free today? I promised like an idiot - I don't even know if he wants to see me again - AGH!"

" - YOU DON'T WORRY -" Lily lowers her voice when she notices your hungover self recoil, " - I'll make all the time you need and I'm sure he very much wants to see you too," she nods with confidence.

"Right," you're a bit taken aback by her enthusiasm.

"I just want you to live this, Y/N. For real," she mutters, making mental notes of which morning meetings can be clubbed and which afternoon ones be rescheduled to late evening.

"I'm going to start crying again -" you give her an affectionate glance, "but why did I cry in the car? I think was ranting about my life to Mr Kim. This is so embarrassing. I wasn't even that drunk by then - AGH!" you wail again.

"Oh yeah, I freaked out when he called me. It was four in the morning! I just assumed you had slept over at his place..." she giggles.

"Ha ha," you retort sarcastically.

"So, what else happened?" Lily pesters.

"See - everything was simple -" you tell her about the party, and a very vaguely worded idea of what happened in the library room.

"So - wait - he wanted to confess his feelings but he didn't want you to hear it so he kept talking in Korean?" she asks, bemused.

You grimace. "Don't look at me like that. I think both of us were out of it after a while. I don't remember where we went next, but I can swear I was near a swimming pool at some point,"

"I think you were inside a swimming pool at some point," Lily adds, indicating your clothes and hair.

Your brain assaults you with a stray image of a fully-clothed very dripping Yoongi gazing at you - you push it out of your mind. You focus instead on your unceremonious exit from his house.
