How do I prepare my story submission?

1) Review the list of mentors. Read their bios to learn more about these writers. Each one has a chapter in the Wattys 2022 Bootcamp book. Then hop over to their profiles to check out their stories and read through their wish lists. This will help you determine who might be a good fit for you. If you have questions about their wish list, drop them a comment or ask via PM. Remember: You can only submit to three mentors max, so don't spoil your chances by choosing someone who isn't looking for your type of story.

2) Prepare your summary. For the Bootcamp, your manuscript summary should not exceed 500 words. For specific guidance on how to write your summary, check out the chapter Workshop 2 - The Summary.

3) Prepare your blurb. For specific guidance on how to write your blurb, check out the chapter Workshop 3 - The Blurb.

4) Prepare your logline. For specific guidance on how to write your logline, check out the chapter Workshop 4 - The Logline.

5) Give your manuscript a final brush-up. For specific guidance on making edits that matter, check out the chapter Editing Tips - Video.
