MEET DAVID david_hull on WATTPAD
Known as david_hull on Wattpad (I know... SO creative), I was born in Chicago, IL but moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 25.
I have a degree in Psychology and English and two novels under my belt. In 2020, my first, For Those Who Don't Believe in Love Songs, won a Watty for Literary Fiction (much to my surprise!). I was honored to serve as a Bootcamp Mentor the following year.
By day, I work as a television editor and by night, I am a father of two girls. Squeezed in between, I try to find the time to be an author.
I enjoy books like The Lord of the Rings and movies like Gravity that drag their protagonists through the mud and over the coals before their valiant triumph.
... like The Vampire Chronicles and Groundhog Day that use the fantastic to explore the nature of our existence.
...like His Dark Materials and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that drop unconventional romances in the middle of unconventional science fiction.
