We made it back to the trap and they took Tashad somewhere downstairs.
"Sage. My office. Y'all know what to do" Zaire said talking to Athena, Malik, and Jermiah.
I walked to his office and he walked behind me. I sat down one of the chairs he had in his office. He walked to his desk and opened his bottom drawer. I heard beeping and he pulled out a stack of cash.
"There's your cut" He said placing the cash on his desk.
"Um can I come back and get it like later on in the week?" I asked
What the hell i look like depositing a whole five grand the FIRST day at my supposed job.He looked at me up and down before putting it back in his drawer.
"You did well surprisingly. This your first rodeo" He asked raising his eyebrow
"nah, i've joined other gangs before" i said sarcastically
"mhm" he said walking from behind his desk
He walked past me and walked to a closet in a corner or the office. He opened the door and grabbed something.
"Stop fucking staring creep" he said mugging me before throwing clothes at me
"put that shit on" he said pointing to the sweatpants and crop top that he had thrown at me
"where the bathroom" i asked
"through there" he said nodding in the direction of the bathroom
i walked into the bathroom and looked around before taking off my current clothes and putting on the ones that Zaire gave me.
I neatly folded my clothes and opened the door to the bathroom. I closed the light then I closed the door before heading back to Zaire's office.
I started to walk towards the door before Zaire stood in front of the door
"where you going" he asked
"am i not allowed to put my clothes in my car" i asked raising my eyebrows
"hmm" he said stepping aside
I left his office and walked out front unlocking my car. I put my clothes in my car before locking it again and made my way back to Zaire's office.
"aight let's go" Zaire said getting up
"walk bruh" he said as i just stood there
well excuse the fuck out of me
"i don't know where i'm going dumbass" i said rolling my eyes
he pushed me against the wall and wrapped his hands around my throat.
I think i see the light
"you gonna watch that smart mouth of yours" he said hovering over me
I slapped him across his face and pushed him back.
"and you better watch them fucking hands cause i'm not the one, two, or three" I said pointing my finger at him
"You clearly don't know who you're dealing with" he said chuckling
you see yea cause no
"You crazy bitch" I said looking at him
I grabbed my keys and headed towards the front door. I went outside before going straight to my car. I sat there going over the events that just happened.
I saw Athena come out the trap and walk over to the drivers side. I rolled my window down looking at her.
"I'm sorry" she said
She sounded sincere but she's not the only i wanted to hear the apology from.
"don't sweat it" i said about to back out the drive way
"see you tomorrow" she asked
"don't count on it" I said
"well drive safe" she said backing away from the car
"thanks" i said backing up
The whole ride home was silent. I drove home and when i got home I saw my mom's car in the drive way.

I got out the car grabbing stuff. I opened my trunk before grabbing my laptop and book bag.
After i closed and locked my car i opened my front door going straight to my room. I set up stuff down before going to take a shower.

my door opened and i completely ignored it.
"when did you get home" my mom asked
"just now" i said not looking at her
I just stared at the wall into nothing.
"are you ok cheri" my mom asked stepping into my room
"i don't feel good" i said
"did you eat something at work" she asked feeling my head
"yea" i said
"what did i tell you about eating from those blans" she said
"i know mommy" i said
"i'll make you some tea" she said getting up
"close the door please" i said as she left the room
I heard the door close before i got up and grabbed my cart and phone
