As the plane journeyed on, my weariness began to weigh heavily on me. The events of the day had taken their toll, leaving me mentally and emotionally drained. Sensing my exhaustion, my father approached me with a concerned expression.

"Alessa, you look like you could use some rest. Why don't you go lie down in the inside room? It's more comfortable there," he suggested, his voice tinged with sincerity. I sighed inwardly, not exactly thrilled about spending more time in my father's presence. But the thought of a more comfortable seat was tempting enough to override my dislike.

Without saying a word, I nodded and headed towards the secluded inside room of the private jet. Closing the door behind me, I found solace in the dimly lit space.

Lying down on the plush seat, I closed my eyes and tried to forget about the complicated situation I found myself in. However, just as I started to drift off, the door opened, and Xavier's face appeared, wearing an apologetic smile.

"Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep, Alessa. I just wanted to check on you." I groaned inwardly, wondering if I would ever catch a break from all the unexpected interruptions.

"I remember you, Alessa," he said, his words laden with sincerity. "From the hospital. I recognized you the moment I saw you."

My heart skipped a beat, and I turned to face him, my eyes searching his face for any sign of deception. But what I saw was an earnest gaze, an unspoken connection that transcended the confines of our shared past.

I swallowed hard, my voice barely a whisper. "You do?"

Xavier nodded, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I didn't say anything earlier because I didn't want to overwhelm you. But I remember. And I'm here if you ever want to talk."

"Thank you" I replied, my voice filled with a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability.

Xavier's smile widened, his eyes reflecting a genuine sense of empathy. "You don't have to thank me, Alessa," he said softly. "We're family, and family looks out for each other."

"Okay okay enough with the sappy shit, Can't a girl get some rest around here?" I grumbled playfully, rolling my eyes.

Xavier chuckled and leaned against the doorframe. "I promise, I'll make it quick. But you wouldn't want to miss the amazing snack selection they have in the kitchen. It's like a gourmet feast up there."

My stomach growled in response, I couldn't help but let out a laugh, realizing that maybe taking a break from sleep was worth it for some airplane snacks. "All right, lead the way," I said, playfully mocking Xavier's enthusiasm.

Xavier feigned a bow, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Your wish is my command."

We made our way to the front of the plane where the enticing aroma of delicious treats filled the air. The flight attendants greeted us with warm smiles

As we perused the array of snacks and delicacies, Xavier's eyes widened in delight. "Behold, " he exclaimed dramatically, pointing to each item as if presenting them in a grand culinary exhibition.

I couldn't help but laugh. "You certainly know how to make airplane food sound like a five star experience," I quipped, picking up a plate and filling it with mouthwatering goodies.

We settled into a cozy corner of the plane, enjoying our food.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, my phone buzzed, interrupting the moment. I reached into my pocket and pulled it out, seeing Ace's name flashing on the screen.

"Hey, Ace," I said picking up the phone.

"Why are you on a plane?" he asked as soon as I answered the call.

"How do you know that?" I questioned.

Ace chuckled on the other end of the line, "I have my ways, love," he replied.

I raised an eyebrow, "Uhm, about that, there's something you should know," I hesitated for a moment.

"I was in a hospital," I continued, "My biological family found me. It turns out, I have a father and some brothers."

There was a brief pause before Ace's voice exploded with a mix of concern, frustration, and protectiveness. "You were in a hospital? Why didn't you call me? Are you okay? What happened?" he bombarded me with questions, his tone filled with worry.

"I'm fine now, Ace," I reassured him.

"I don't care. I'm coming to Italy right now," he declared firmly, his possessiveness shining through. Without waiting for my response, he abruptly ended the call.

As I stood there, Xavier appeared at the doorway of the inside room. His brows furrowed as he noticed my expression.

"Alessa, is everything okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

"What? Oh yeah I'm fine," Xavier studied me for a moment, his eyes searching mine for any signs of distress or discomfort.

"Are you sure?" he pressed gently, his voice laced with empathy. "You seem a little pale."

"No I'm fine, Let's go back," I say walking back.

After my response, Xavier nodded understandingly and gave me a reassuring smile. "Alright, Alessa. Take your time."

I returned his smile, grateful for his understanding.

I returned his smile, grateful for his understanding. The weariness was beginning to take its toll on me, and the idea of going back to sleep sounded inviting.

"You know what? I think I will go back to sleep," I admitted, feeling the exhaustion seep into my bones. "I could use some more rest."

Xavier nodded in agreement. "Go ahead. I'll wake you up when we are there."

With a grateful nod, I made my way back to the inside room, closing the door behind me. The familiar sense of solitude enveloped me, and I settled into the plush seat once again.
