Wall María (Part 1)

No one's pov-

Wall Maria contains 1/3 of humanities remaining territory. 5 years ago when we manually lost this territory, from within the remaining two walls they realized: that we... Are not meant to continue living. After all humanity cannot defeat the titans. However, one young man grip the small blade held in his heart, with the help of his companion... And thrust it into a Titan, pounding its massive head into the ground.

When humanity saw this, what did they think? Some were proud. Some held hope. Some cried out in anger. Then, if Wall María was retaken what would humanity cry out? Would they finally start believing that humanity deserves to live?

"Advance!!!" The voice echoed in everyone's head, we all knew this is where it starts

That our own fate is something we can decide? Will it be enough for them to believe?

If only Wall Maria was retaken...

Y/n's Pov-

We all made it far outside the walls, the dark was honestly haunting, we don't even know if any Titans will appear

The noises of our footsteps on the ground gave me anxiety each time

My mind was clouded with the thoughts of who's going to make it? What will happen after the whole war? Will we all survive?

I could feel my heart pounding against chest wanting to escape from my overthinking

The more thought the more I didn't want to keep going

I realized I was breathing unevenly, so I tried steadying my breathing before someone asked me if I'm okay.

All I heard were muffled voices then I heard

"You too Y/n, you need to rest" but I was ignoring it all

"Hello?" "Y/n?" I didn't answer I just kept walking until someone went right Infront of me and placed there hands on my shoulders

"Y/n are you okay?" Said the raven haired girl

My eyes looked right into the void of the female's eyes

Then my eyes widened since I was staring. I could feel my face heat up a bit

"U-uh yeah, why wouldn't I be? Haha..." I tried looking else where.

"Are you sure?" She asked her voice laced with concern

I nodded and composed myself

"Yeah I'm alright we should keep going, they're leaving us behind"

"O-oh, yeah we should" she let go of me and we started catching up

When we caught up we saw all of them staring at a, sleeping Titan? That's new

"That's to bad. Let him be" Hange spoke

I stared at it

"I'm sorry..." I said under my breath

Jean, who was close heard and looked at me with confusion plastered across his face.

I kept going looking down at the dirt floor still nervous

I noticed Eren shaking and I knew he was also overthinking so I went right next to him

I placed my hand on his shoulder and spoke while looking ahead

"We're in this together you know? We both will fight side by side. If you mess up just know I'll back you up, alright?"

He looked at me and he smiled, feeling more motivated

"You're right. I don't know why I thought I was alone when there's them" He said looking at everyone walking ahead of us

I nodded and let go of his shoulder

"We'll retake it...I know we will"

Y/n's Thoughts: But at what cost?

I started noticing this part of the forest...it looked familiar

This is where we collected fire wood I thought to myself while getting nostalgia.

I remember the first time I came to Wall María. I was obviously confused since I was from outside these walls. But I was glad I found Mr. Yeager, he too was from outside. I didn't know he even had Titan powers until Eren told me about his memories.

Even when I was outside these walls I was never free. I've been brainwashed my whole life. I can't remember how my life was and I was only a kid, I didn't even know why mother wasn't in the picture. But the months and years that passed while I had my Titan I started realizing how crazy uncle was in the past after my mother's death. He found out about my father's past

I always think about why he chose that way but when I heard that the L/n bloodline...are reckless, even careless about what might happen. They don't even fear death, sometimes I just think how will I end? Will it be some stupid death? Or will it be as a hero or maybe some villain? This is only the first step to take this island out of this hell hole. I think...

"I recognize this area." I heard Mikasa say

"I thought I was the only one who did" I responded while looking around

"I think we came here for firewood."

"Now I remember exactly where I saw this area" I said to myself

"I can see the foot! There's signs of a trail!" Said a scout

Eren faced at us then spoke "It's close"

"I can hear the river." Mikasa responded

"The memories of this place are coming back" I joined

Armin then spoke up too "Finally, we're back..."

3rd Person Pov-

"The first time... Since we fled from here. Back to our hometown..."

"Be on guard for Titans hiding in the shadows! Our operation begins now! All troops, switch to odm gear!" Erwin ordered

Y/n's Pov-

I started to zip up the wall with the others by my side, I was ready for this

I was up first to plug the hole on the gate and Eren had to do the other side

Me and Eren landed next to each other on the wall. It was just like a ghost town, everything destroyed. Wood pieces scattered, toys, and cloth in unusual places

I remember this clearly...the day I left them not even caring to help. What was going on in my head? What was I thinking that day? It was a blur

"Don't stop!" Levi yelled at us

I snapped out of the sorrow state and remembered that I had to transform

"Head for the outer gate!" Levi ordered

"Roger!" Eren responded

We jumped of the wall started making our way to the opening.

Y/n's Thoughts: Not a single Titan? How strange, huh?

Green smoke was shot to the sky signaling to commence the operation

I went ahead of Eren and the rest, ready to let myself fall

Y/n's Thoughts: Here we go...

As I got closer and closer I swung myself up to the air looking at the sky

I closed my eyes and let all the thoughts in my head run free

Then led my hand to my mouth and bit on it

The same feeling of energy and burning sensation went through my body as I felt body fuse into the flesh
