or so i thought you did
maybe it was the fact that i loved you
the way i held you
that made you seem as you loved me
but did you really?
did you ever see me in that light
how you saw her for so long
how you looked at her when she was looking away
was this all a lie?
if you didn't love me
why did you look at me that way
why did you say all those things
why did you hold me so close
why did you do all that
you mended my broken heart just to smash it harder.
all the hopes i had were crushed into pieces
but i still wait for you.
you're still my number one
even if i never was yours.
