Maddie walked into the room that looked like every other fancy room she had been in. It was nothing new to her; she had just never been in it before. She took a seat on the couch and looked over the edge to see no one on the battlefield, meaning the big fight was about to start.
She put her headphones in and pressed play on her new cassette tape to pass time and to see what kind of music it had from her home planet.
The music started playing and it made her smile as she recognised the song instantly. Southern Night. It made her smile as it reminded her of when she used to sing it with her mum.
"Look at who it is." Maddie heard a voice making her take out her headphones and roll her eyes to recognize that voice. She turned to voice the man standing next to her with a smile on his face. "Yes, the greatest person ever." She stood up and walked to the bar.
She ordered her drink as Loki followed her. "Can I help you with something?" She didn't bother looking at him. He was attractive and Maddie liked him and how he didn't quit. But to her, it wasn't allowed. "How did you get in?" He questioned her.
"I'd like to ask you the same." The bartender gave her her drink and she sat back down on the couch while he just stood next to her. "I ask first." He retorted.
"I came to watch my friend fight. I hope they win." She and Hulk had a deal meaning that if he won with her she would do anything for him and the same went the other way round. "I'm guessing you were invited by the Grandmaster?"
"Well yes. I was coming to watch my brother fight, and he said I could come up here." Madeleine sipped her drink as she looked out the window to see the large hollow grams of the Grandmaster.
"Wow! Look at all of you. What a show, WHAT-A-NIGHT!" The Grandmaster started. "Who's having fun? Please, I'm your host. A big round of applause for all of our undercard. Competitors... who died so gruesomely. Good sports. What a show! What a night! This is what you've come for and so have I."
"And now, without further ado... it's main event time!!" The crowd goes wild ready for the big fight that's going to happen tonight. Maddie was beyond excited and Loki was clearly scared for his brother.
"Making his first appearance, though he looks quite promising, got a couple of tricks up his sleeve. I'll say no more, see what you think. Ladies and gentlemen..." The crowd laughs out of amusement listening to what he stated. "I give to you...Lord of Thunder!"
"God of Thunder." Maddie corrects him taking a sip of her drink to watch Thor walk into the arena. Loki looked down at Maddie when she said that clearly confused at what she said.
Then it hit Maddie when she took a second look at who it was holding a sword and a shield, shaved head, a trimmed beard, minimalist armour he spat out her drink and stood up dropping her drink making it smash everywhere. "Oh. My. God." she mumbled to herself when the Grandmaster continued speaking.
