Sacrifice

When everything seems to be going well with Suryeon and Logan, a scandal involving them is spreading all throughout Seoul.

"Logan Lee, called a traitor, for hiding and dating the wanted fiancé of Joo Dantae, their business partner"

Pictures of them together circulate on the news. Looks like a paparazzi was following them for days already.

"They're starting son" James said.

"So, they're playing the victim card" Logan is bursting out of anger on what he saw and heard on the news. Suryeon, on the other hand, is just quiet, still absorbing everything.

"Tell us what happened, Suryeon. Why are they accusing you of assault?" James asked.

Reminiscing about that night makes her very anxious. The scenarios are still vivid on her mind. She tried to forget it but cannot. Indeed, a nightmare that keeps on coming back and haunting her.

Logan is very sensitive to Suryeon. He can feel her anxiousness everytime.

"Jagiya, if you're not ready to talk about it, then don't force yourself, ok?" he held her hand.

She really doesn't want to talk about it but given the situation, she knows she has to tell them.

"It's okay, jagiya. You need to know" she replied. Letting out a deep breath, she started talking about this terrifying night.

"Dantae... on that night... he was so drunk... and he is forcing me to... to make love with him" she said in between sobs. "But I cannot... I don't want to... so he hit me many times..." she shut her eyes full of tears as she remembers all the pain and fear she went through.

"Oh dear" Stella went to Suryeon and hugged her.

Logan is clenching his fist in anger. He can no longer endure the evilness of Dantae. And seeing how traumatized she is makes him even more furious.

Calming down, Suryeon continued her narration.

"During that time, all I wanted is to escape from him. I was able to grab the vase on the bedside table and hit him in the head then I ran outside of the room. I thought I knocked him out but as I'm about to go down, he suddenly grabbed me. I tried to free myself from him that's why I... I..." he looks at Logan with fear and guilt in her eyes. "I accidentally pushed him downstairs" she cried after saying it.

"Hey, you did that out of defense, ok? You shouldn't feel guilty after everything that bastard has done to you" Logan held her shoulders rubbing them gently.

"You ran away after that?" James asked.

Suryeon nodded in response.

"They said that Dantae's spinal cord was severely damaged on his fall, and he is paralyzed from waist down" James added.

"But remember jagiya, you said you saw him in Pohang market last time we went together" Logan interrupted.

"Yes, I saw him and even hear his voice... though I'm not sure if I'm just seeing and hearing things out of fear... or possible I mistaken someone as him... I'm sorry jagiya I'm really not certain" she sighed.

"It's okay" Logan hugged her. "So, what do they want?"

"I don't know, son. But one thing's for sure, they have an evil plan"

Logan decided that for the meantime Suryeon should not go to the restaurant but rather stay in the villa for safety. The Joo family is starting to attack, and he must protect her at all costs.

Together with his dad, they went to the office for a board meeting to discuss things out. Surely, their business will be affected by the scandal. He promised Suryeon he'll go back immediately and asked Sec Hong to watch out for her while he is gone. Minutes after Logan left, an unknown number is calling Suryeon's phone and when she answered the call, she heard a familiar voice. She froze on the spot, her body trembling as she listened to what the caller is saying.
