S I C H E NG

Today is Sunday, which means I'll spend more time with Aiya. Nasa food park kami ngayon, and we're just waiting for our food to be served.

I still can't believe how time flies fast. Within these past few weeks lang iniiwasan ako ni Aiya, and now we're in a relationship. We still have that friendship, but what's more important is we stayed the same, just having deeper connections because of our feelings.

While waiting for our order, naisipan naming maglaro muna ni Aiya. This restaurant has board games and such to keep customers away from boredom. We decided to play chess for a while. I picked the white one, Aiya picked the black one.

Aiya is really good at this, I can't seemed to keep up with her. Her moves are so unpredictable.

"Goodness Aiya, are you a grandmaster?" nagugulat ako sa susunod na ginagawa ni Aiya. I lost all my pawns, she's too clever.

"What? Why?" Aiya laughs.

"Because you know all my moves."

"Boy, I'm an expert." Aiya proudly says with a giggle. "Your turn."

The game goes on with Aiya almost winning, it's hopeless for me to win. Then it happened, Aiya defeated me in a chess game. She's so clever, like she can predict my next move. I'm not an expert in chess kaya inaasahan ko na talaga na matatalo niya ako. Though I admire her, she's competitive and all.

"I can't believe you defeated me in a chess game." natatawa pa rin ako. We're already eating our food na kakaserve lang.

"What can I say? I'm an expert." Aiya giggles. "But hey, you're better than me in terms of guns and other things."

"Maybe, let's just say chess is not for me." I shrugged.

"Well it's alright."

Nagkuwento lang kami ni Aiya. Most of our topic are throwback and funny moments from our childhood.

"You know I ate spaghetti with rice nung bata ako?" kuwento ko.

"Really? You can't be serious ano ba?!" Aiya laughed at me.

"I am serious Aya. I'm into weird food combinations, you know?"

"Gosh Sicheng malala ka na." Aiya joked.

"But that's not only it." sabi ko.

"Ano?"

"I ate ice cream combined with pizza." dagdag ko pa.

"What the hell?! Sicheng!" natawa si Aiya dahil sa sinabi ko.

"I swear it happened. I told you, I have a lot of weird food combinations." I chuckles.

Aiya frowns. Kanina pa siya natatawa, pinipigilan niya lang ngayon. "Oh my... oh my gosh. And to think I like you. You're weird."

"You like me because I'm me." I grinned.

Aiya playfully rolled her eyes. "Ang epic mo ha... But hey, I have something crazier to tell."

"Okay kuwento."

"I used to eat pepper not knowing how spicy it is. Naiyak pa nga ako, gosh it's so hot in my tongue. It took me hour before I got rid of the spice!" Aiya groans.

Natawa na lang ako sa kuwento niya. I can imagine her face when she's eating spicy pepper.

"Seriously Aiya? Pasaway ka talaga no?"
