he couldn't be there in America pretending everything was okay when he hadn't had a response from Emily in nearly a month.
he needed to go home. he needed to know she was okay.
which is why he was packing a light overnight bag of essentials for the long-haul flight back to London that no-one but his PA and Jon, the director, knew about. Jon played it off that there were a few scenes that Tom wasn't needed for and that his stunt double could fill in for him in the suit. so that was how they got away with Marvel not undoing his contract.
he grabbed the bag once he'd pulled on his favourite baseball cap and plucked his sunglasses off of the worktop.
it may have only been 4AM but he was a celebrity now and he couldn't take the chances of being caught so he placed them on and carefully and quietly pulled open his trailer door before shutting it and silently running through the trailer park to where he could see his driver parked in the distance.
he just hoped everything went to plan.
