AFTER ng dinner dumeretso kaming magkakaibigan dito sa rooftop ng building. This is an open area, a helipad to be exact. We brought some banig galing palawan and pillows so we can all lay down.
Naka upo kaming lahat in a circle formation. Nasa harap namin ang iba't ibang uri ng drinks and chips, may mga dessert din silang kinuha kanina galing sa handa. It's past nice o'clock, the night sky has no moon and it's starless, the sky looks so sad but not us.
Kinalabit ako ni Treble at sinabing sumunod ako sa kanya. Nag paalam muna ako kay Ethan...
"Okay," he said. I follow Trebs at the end of the rooftop. Medyo may kalayuan kami sa kanila.
Pinatong nya ang dalawang braso nya sa railing at tahimik na pinagmasdan ang mga building sa paligid. The city lights are the one who's giving the place some enough light since there's no moon and stars.
"Why?" I asked trying to break the silence between us.
"I want to tell you something," hindi pa din sya tumitingin sakin kaya ginaya ko na lang din ang pwesto nya. Tumingin na lang din ako sa mga building sa paligid at hinihintay syang magsalita.
"I always think about telling you and not telling you about this, but I ended up choosing the latter," huminga sya ng malalim.
"Tell me what?"
"The reason why I got mad when I learned that you're my twin sister," na patango ako.... Until now kasi hindi ko pa din alam ang reason kung bakit.
"And why? Until now it confuses me, you know?" I said sarcastically making him chuckle. Saglit muna syang nag isip bago sabihin ang bagay na talagang nagpagulat sakin.
"I liked you," na tigilan ako sa sinabi nya. Did he say liked me? Is there anything more that can surprise me? Why does my life are full of surprises?
"W-What?"
"I liked you," this time humarap na sya sakin. Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko ng ulitin nya yung sinabi nya.
"B-But. I -h-how?" I asked very shocked.
"Since the day we first met each other, I started to like you... As we get closer to each other that's when my feeling starts to blow up, to the point I always look at you when you're not looking. I always praise you in my mind, and give you some letters using sticky notes," nanlaki ang mga mata ko at mas lalong bumilis ang tibok ng puso sa sinabi nya. Sticky notes?? Sya ang nagbibigay yon??
"Ikaw a-ang⎯"
"Yes... Tumigil lang ako nung nakita kong nahuhulog ka na kay Ethan. Nagalit ako kasi gusto kita eh tapos malalaman kong kakambal kita, do you know how crazy that was? I liked my freaking twin sister?" he said.
Ibig sabihin totoo yung sinabi ni Allison na ako ang gusto ni Treble noon.
''But you're being possessive to Alli... I mean you show signs that you like here before,'' I said. He smiled bitterly at me.
''I try to take advantage of her feelings for me... I used her to stop my feelings for you,'' he said. Yumuko sya at halata ang guilt sa mukha nya.
''Trebs...''
''Let's just change the topic... balik tayo sa pinag uusapan natin kanina,'' he said... gusto ko pa sana magtanong pero mukhang hindi sya comfortable.
Binalik ko ang pag iisip sa sinabi nya kanina... nung mag sink in sakin lahat bigla akong humaglpak ng tawa.
