CHAPTER 50

"DEAR CLARION,

I finally met her. I met our daughter. She is sweet, smart and beautiful like you.

I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with both of you.

"What did she just say?" Libby asked ng tawagin akong Daddy ni Iridessa.

"Uh.. she called me daddy." I said at dahan dahan na kinarga ang anak ko.

"Yeah..I mean why would she say that?" She asked again.

Dahan dahan naman akong lumayo sa kanya.

"I don't know... maybe she knows that I am her real father." I said then look at her.

Gulat na gulat ang itsura ni Libby.

"Am I right?" I asked her again.

And her expression was priceless.

"What are you saying..." Halata sa boses nya ang kaba.

"She.. she is not.. your daughter--"

"Tell me, Libby. Ilang kayong NPA ang nakapalibot sa amin?" I asked looking directly into her eyes.

Hindi naman sya makapagsalita.

"Tell me, Libby..." I asked again habang karga ko pa rin si Iridessa.

"I--I don't know what you are talking about---" She was about to pull out her gun when Simon immediately point the gun behind her.

"Don't." Simon said habang nakapalibot na ang mga totoong security namin.

Agad naman binitawan ni Libby ang baril.

"What.. how did.." She asked habang umiiyak.

"How did we find out? That's a long story to tell, Libby. But you will be the key para maligtas namin si Clarion."

I told her.

Agad naman syang pinusasan ng mga security namin.

"Ka-Vince will find out about this. Almost all of your staff are one of us--"

"About that. We also know about it. Kaya ahead of time, na-identify na namin kung sino yung totoong security namin."

Simon answered her.

"You will join them, Libby. Don't worry." I said.

Hindi naman nakasagot si Libby.

Lumapit naman sa akin si Simon at pinakarga ko si Iridessa sa kanya.

I slowly walked towards Libby and faced her.

"All of you will pay for all the sufferings you've given to Clarion." I threatened her.

"Sa tingin mo hindi malalalaman ni ng hukbong sandatahan na nawawala ako?" She asked with this fiesty look in her eyes.

"Oh they will. And that's what we want." I answered.

I gestured my security na ilabas na sya at dalhin sa kulungan kung saan namin itinago ang ibang kasamahan nila na nagkunwaring security namin.

I looked at Simon habang karga ang anak ko.

"What's next?" He asked.

And then I gave him the look of what we will do next.

**FLASHBACK OF CLARION AND SANDRO TALKING SA ENGAGEMENT PARTY***

"I thought you already forgot about me.. about us." I told her habang nakahawak sa pisngi nya.

"I never did forgot about you but I had to pretend. I had to... kasi my Dad threatened me to kill our daughter if hindi ko gagawin yung hypnosis."

She explained.

"But.. how did you managed not to do it?" I asked.

"It said that to be able to prevent hypnosis, you need to divert your mind and that's what I did. Everytime I was inside that room... I hurt myself before hand." She said while showing me scars on her arms.

"Oh my God." I exclaimed habang naiiyak.

"I'm so sorry gem." I said habang niyayakap sya.

"I had to do it gem.. I had to." She whispered.

"I'm here... hinding hindi ko na hahayaang masaktan ka pa nila." I said.

"But.. how did Apollo came into the picture?" I asked.

"He is one of them... he was sent para bantayan ako." She said.

"And that's why they told me na sya ang ama ni Iridessa."

"Na sya ang papakasalan ko." She was sobbing.

"I'm sorry."

"Hey hey hey... shhh"

"It's alright gem. I understand."

"I'm just glad you are safe." I said

"Please Sandro... save us. Save me and Iridessa." She was pleading.

"I will... I will, my Clarion." I answered.

"But for now, we have to continue to pretend. Okay?"

She nodded.

"And the day after tomorrow, I want you to tell Libby to bring Iridessa sa office ko. Okay?"

Clarion looked at me like telling me that she trust me.
