Save the Factory (Poppy Playtime Reader Insert)

Under the Surface...

As you and the Boogie Bot entered the make a friend room, you noticed a few different things. There was an adopt an orphan poster on the wall encouraging workers at the factory to adopt a child, which you thought was nice. After getting the machine up and running and starting the toy creation process, you thought of something. "Hey Boogie Bot, couldn't you just get yourself scanned to get us through the door?" You said as you turned to the toy robot. He looked down and shook his head, and you noticed that he'd be too big for the scanner. "I think I could..." Came a voice from out of nowhere. The two of you frantically looked around before you saw a flash of blue in the corner, you turned to see another mascot you'd seen mentioned around the factory. It was a Candy Cat. Much closer to the size of a regular cat, Candy Cat apeared somewhat friendly.

"Hello there... do... do you think you could help us get through that door?" You said as you knelt down and pointed at the door you needed to get through. The Candy Cat walked up to you and quickly sniffed your knee before replying, "If you can get me onto the scanner, I may be able to open the door." His voice sounding like a young cartoon character internally made you aww. You nodded and carefully picked him up and placed him on the scanner, the scanner then did what it was ment to do and a big green check mark apeared on the screen as the door creaked open. "Thanks Candy Cat. Do you wanna join us?" You said as he hopped down from the pedestal. "Sure! There's not much Candy around here and I get bored often so I'll come with you." He said as he rubbed himself up against your leg.

The three of you walked down the open corridor before you reached the main opening. Before you could walk through though, there was a huge growl as the same Huggy Wuggy plush stepped through the door and started making his way to you, a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. "Holy sweet Tootsie Rolls! Run away!" Candy Cat screamed as he ran to a newly opened door that led into the vent system. You picked up Boogie Bot as you weren't sure he could jump and ran into the vents following Candy Cat. "Did we lose him?" Candy Cat asked as he looked back at us. Then Huggy came from a tunnel right in front of us with that same eerie grin on his face. "NOPE!" You shouted as you picked up Candy Cat and  ran down a tunnel leading to the right.

You kept running for your life as the two toys jumped out of your arms and ran as fast as they could. Well... rolled in Boogie Bots case. They seemed to know the vents better than you did and with their smaller size you almost lost them on a few cases. Soon you slipped down a long vent and stopped right infront of the two as they appeared to be pulling on something. You looked up to see a large crate dangling over the edge and it fell just as you looked up. "LOOK OUT!" Shouted an unfamiliar voice as Huggy ran from inside the vents and pushed you out of the way of the falling box, which landed on him instead. The four of you fell onto a lower catwalk as you turned to look at Huggy who was lightly stumbling about.

Soon however Huggy tripped over the railing and fell over the side, you dove for him and shouted, "NO!" You grabbed one of his feet with both hands but were quickly dragged over the edge yourself, you saw your life flash before your eyes before your feet were grabbed by something... no... someone. You quickly looked up to see Candy Cat and Boogie Bot holding onto both the railing and your feet for dear life. "Danh warry." Candy Cat said with his tongue extended and holding onto your right foot, "We gaht yah." You continued to hold onto Huggy's foot as the rest of him dangled limply. Slowly but surely, Candy Cat and Boogie Bot lifted you over the railing and with their help, you managed to pull the surprisingly heavy Huggy back onto stable ground.

"H-Huggy?" You said as you looked at the fluffy monsters closed eyes. They soon fluttered open and you just sat there as Huggy began talking, "Y-you saved me..." tears began welling up in his eyes as he sat up and embraced you, not knowing how to approach this clearly fragile being, you just returned as Boogie Bot and Candy Cat watched. In between sobs you could make out, "I'm so sorry, I didn't have any choice. He made me chase you." "Hey, hey... easy pal. I'm not upset with you, after you saved me from that crate, it was only fair I save you." You said as you patted the large plush on the back, choosing not to discuss the person he mentioned. He broke the hug and sat down, still occasionally sniffing despite the clear lack of a nose. Only then you took in your surroundings, it was as if you and the others were in a giant metal cilo that seemed to drop for miles.

However one thing that stood out to you was a giant mural of a poppy flower on the wall. You carefully took the giant plushies hand and slowly you and your growing travel party made your way to the mural. With odd writing all over the walls and a door that looked to be made out of wood around it. You carefully opened the door to be met with a place that reminded you of a grandma's house, along with some eerie music in the background somewhere. "How're you guys doing?" You said to the toys as you looked into the hall. "I'm *sniff* okay." Huggy replied. "Scared..." Boogie Bot followed as he lightly grabbed your waist. "I'd rather be eating candy then doing this." Candy Cat stated. You then remembered something you picked up earlier, "Here. I found this earlier in a locker." You pulled a peice of candy out of your pocket and handed it to the extatic toy Cat who jumped up and snatched the peice right from your hand.

You proceeded to walk through the door with Huggy accidentally hitting his head. "Careful there Huggy." You said as he rubbed his forehead before nodding and the four of you continued. After walking down a set of stairs and another corridor you came to a room with a wardrobe, a doll house, and several pillows strewn about. You walked by and soon came to a set of doors. As you slowly pulled them open, the red light moving about carefully lit the room with a case in the middle. Inside the case was a doll with hair that smelt like poppys and a bright blue dress. "Poppy Playtime..." You said as the others proceeded to lightly back up, you slowly walked up to the case and grabbed the handle. "Uh (Mr./Ms.) (Y/N)? I don't think that's a good idea." Boogie Bot Replied as you turned back to him. "Don't worry Boogie Bot, no matter what. I'll make sure you're safe." You said as you turned back to the case and slowly opened the door to it.

The lights then began flickering and Poppy's eyes flashed open before the light bulbs above shattered. You and the others stood in the dark before you heard a young girl's voice, "... You opened my case..."
