Keep That Smile Up, ok? Part 2 (The Stringless Puppet of The Void)

Soulworker of Promise

-She is going to be fine, you don't have to worry so much, we are lucky, she only fainted.... 

-I hope she'll be ok... 

Haru heard some voices around her, but didn't see a thing. She slowly tried opening her eyes.

She saw some blurry faces, opened them more and then saw the Soulworkers cornered around her.

-Mmh... Haru cleared her vision with one hand

-Haru, you are awake! Stella smiled with some tears going down her face

-E-Erwin!! Haru then remembered why she fell down

-Hey, hey, calm down, you just fell down once, we can't risk you falling again.... Jin said

-W-where is he?? Is-Is he still there?! Haru trembled and said in a shaky voice

-You need to calm down first so we can talk about this. Here take this chill pill, it will make you feel a little better.. Jin handed her a pill and a cup of water

After she took them, she stopped trembling.

-Y-yes, it's a little better now... She still had a shaky voice, but the trembling stopped

-Look, as I said before, I'm not sure if he actually vanished. If we keep hunting, we might actually find Desire Erwin. The shadow girl said

-Didn't you say he could be outside of Cloudream? Haru's face showed distress

-I said that because this device can't seem to detect any energy, Kent probably stopped suppling him with energy... And even that isn't good news. He betrayed Kent the moment he donated some of his energy to Desire Haru and came back to him emptyhanded. I just can't find any other explanation to this... The shadow sighed

-Wait, what if he... Got possessed by Kent? That device only shows soul energy and desire energy, right? Erwin might be using Kent's magic now... Haru thought for a little

-I would like to think, things are like that too, but Kent made desire energy so he uses it too... I'm sorry to disappoint you. "Shadow" sighed in a sad tone

-Wait, wait, wait! Stella said, she thought of something

-What is it, Stella? Haru asked, a little interested

-Desire Erwin might've returned to Erwin's body! We could go to the hospital now and check! Stella grinned

-The kid is right, it can be possible! "Shadow" smiled as well

-But how? If the device didn't detect anything, how can we be so sure? Haru was confused

-This thing isn't common with Soulworkers receiving desire energy from nowhere, it only knows that combining this two can cause disaster so it considers the "target" as dead or vanished. She explained

-Then we should rush to the hospital right now! Haru said and they went there together 

When they got there, Haru opened the door and found Erwin looking outside the windows, he was on both his feet! He showed such a lively figure!

Erwin saw the girls with the corner of his eye and turned around. 

-Oh, hi, what brings you guys here? He smiled so brightly, like nothing ever happened

-E-Erwin..?? But how...? Haru was so surprised

-That guy said he ran away from Kent, he was about to fade him in thin air, but rushed all the way here without looking back. He also said that his only two wishes were to apologise to Desire Haru and return in my body. I've never seen a guy so scared of death in my life... Erwin looked away

-So... Does that mean, you are okay now? I mean, you are alive and all...? Her voice shook a little

-Yeah... I mean, I'm still disturbed by bad memories, but those will fade away in time and I'll learn to get over them... He grinned with the corner of his mouth

-*sigh* That's such a relief... Haru was relieved, she was stressed like hell, but now she feels easened...

Haru smiled, but her expression quickly changed into a quite sad one...

-Errm.... Is something the matter, Haru? Sweat ran across his face

-Erwin... Don't you get it? If Desire Erwin ran away from Kent, he'll come after us... We have no chance of winning against a god... I'm... horrified... Haru shook a bit again

Erwin thought a little, looked at Haru then at his hands... He was okay now, he got his other half back, but... What if Kent ruins everything again..? He just got back on his feet and now he's going to end up the same again....? He was scared too, maybe Haru was right, though he wanted to keep his positive thoughts and vibe altogether and he said:

-Yes... I get what you're saying, Haru, but you aren't going to deal with it alone, I, at least, will support you, we don't have to do this by ourselves, we are a team. And we'll get through it together... I'll be right there..! His smile was sad, but he tried to keep it up.

Haru inserted her hand in one of her jacket's pockets and tried to find.... Something...?

-Also, Erwin...

-What's up, Haru? He asked a little disoriented

-I... I wanted to give you this... It's an amulet, it has a photo of us both. I have one too, I can't really show you right now, but it's a small gift for your birthday, yes I didn't forget about it... Whenever you feel down, look at this picture, it...It might make you feel a lot better... Haru blushed a little

-Oh, thank you... Erwin scratched the back of his head, not knowing how to react

-And one more thing...

-Hm?

-Can you promise me something? Haru looked at him

-What exactly? He asked

-Can you promise me that you'll never leave me, no matter what? She looked at him with a quite worried expression

-I promise.

They hugged and heard someone in the distance sobbing. They looked around and saw Stella bursting into tears.

-This is so beautiful!! It's like I just saw a romantic movie! The little girl smiled through tears

The two Soulworkers laughed and hugged her.

Now.... What =)...?

A original idea came to my mind one day and decided to write it down, hoping I'll get people interested too... KTSOU has to be the best story I wrote, I've put so much work in it and took time off of my breaks to write in it... I love it so much, even though it might me messed up, I love that it's original! For me originality is the best thing when it comes out to making something!

Well... I guess that's all I have to say qwq!...
