Zeus barked joyfully by watching the girl getting ready to go out with the giant carrot.

Avery looked at herself in the mirror before smiling, satisfied with her outfit. She expected Ron to like it.
-Zeus... I'm leaving you food. Take care of yourself and the house, okay? - She smiled at him before exiting her apartment

She was excited for her date with Ron. She knew he had a surprise prepared and was intrigued to know what it was.

Meanwhile at the burrow, the ginger ran up and down the stairs, searching for some clean clothes to wear.
-Son... Can we... Talk? - A voice asked behind him

The ginger looked at hie mother who was in the kitchen. Doubtful, he approached her and waited for Molly to talk.
-How's it going? Have you talked to Hermione? - She asked, making Ron shake his head

He couldn't believe he was telling him that.
-It's amazing how you invited only to remind me how unhappy I was when she dumped me. - He said, hurt

-Ron, I'm sure it wasn't like that... - His mother began
-You have no idea of how devastated I felt when Hermione dumped me in front of the whole school, telling me how I'm less worth than Viktor Krum. - He said angrily

Molly wasn't answering. She didn't know what to reply to that.
-Exactly, Hermione might be a nice person when she smiles. But when she's angry, she says cruel and hurtful things. - He said as he put on his jacket

- Where... Where are you going? - His mother asked
-I have a date with Avery who, casually, loves me by who I am. - He looked at her as if he didn't recognise her, but he felt he's lived this before - Bill might've let everything slide but I'm not him.

-What are you saying? - The woman asked

-You know perfectly what I'm saying. So I'll thank you if you, at least, don't say anything harmful when Avery's around. - He said as he returned to his room

Ron thought about how harsh he was with his mother, but he couldn't understand why she didn't like Avery. However, he wouldn't take any more humiliation and bad deals.

-Ron. - A voice called, startling the boy

The ginger looked at Hermione who had entered his room. He crossed his arms while waiting for her to speak.
-I heard everything. - She finally said

-Good. - He said, rolling his eyes and tying his shoelaces with nerves for the date with Avery

-I'm really sorry for what occurred that day. - She began - I know it wasn't the best way of breaking up. I couldn't imagine you must've felt at that moment.

And Molly, who was processing what had just happened, saw that someone was at the door.

When she opened it, she found the girl.
-Sorry if I surprised you, Mrs. Weasley... I was... Waiting for Ron. - She said nervously

Mrs. Weasley thought about was she was about to say. She still haven't finished dealing with her.
-Why didn't you call? - She inquired

Avery shrugged.
-I know you don't like me very much. I didn't wanna disturb you or anyone. - She said uncomfortably

Now, Molly had realised that Avery wasn't dressed as usual. She now looked more casual, like a young girl.
-Come in. You may catch a cold. - She invited her inside - Ron's upstairs...

Avery smiled shyly as she went towards the stairs. However, something stopped her from doing so.
-Sorry for behaving that way with you, Avery. It was very immature of me. I'm sorry. - Mrs. Weasley apologised to which the girl shook her head

-Don't bother, it's in the past. - The girl forgave her

-Oh, are you really sorry?! Hermione, you don't understand the harm that you caused in me that day! You don't know how miserable I felt in that moment! I loved you, do you understand?! - Ron finally admitted, without any patience

-Ron, I loved you, as well! It's just that... Viktor... Sorry for doing that. I thought that by clarifying things... It wouldn't be so difficult. - She said

The ginger was already for his date. He looked at himself in the mirror before looking back at Hermione who seemed to be about to cry.
-Difficult? - He asked, without understanding a thing

-Difficult to forget you. - She admitted - Ron... You've always been important for me... Always.

And just like that, Hermione ended the space between them in a very unexpected and forced kiss.

What a coincidence that they've left the door open, and what a coincidence that Avery had seen everything. What the fuck was happening? Why the fuck were Ron and Hermione kissing each other?

She felt like everything was going to hell. Hermione had done it... How could she? And Ron... Oh, Ron, you've ruined everything.

She stayed quiet and just walked back down the stairs with the intention of returning home. To her house, far from the ginger.
-Avery? - Ginny asked, getting out of the kitchen

The girl tried not to cry. She looked at her friend who was in her pjs with her best smile as possible.
-If you're looking for Ron, he must be changing right now... - The ginger girl said, worried by her friend's expression

-I'm here! I'm ready. Shall we go? - They heard the ginger boy's voice, walking down the stairs with a smile

What was going on?

The girl was amazingly overwhelmed. She didn't know what to do. She had Ron and Ginny's look on her. Shit, she was going to be sick.
-Avery? - Ron asked once again to which she nodded while looking away

-Have fun! - Ginny said before they left the burrow

The ginger boy looked at the girl with a tender smile. She didn't look very joyful but the night was just beginning.
