Third person's POV
Ava had been a little bit down lately because of Auston talking about adopting her.

She really wanted to be adopted be him but she couldn't without her parents.

Besides they weren't going to say yes anyways.

They weren't just going to let some random stranger they don't know adopt their daughter.

Auston had noticed Ava had been upset.

He understood why though.

He felt bad for her because he knew how much she wanted to be adopted.

So with the help of Steph they planned a family day for her.

They were going to take her shopping, then they were have dinner, then they were going to a Toronto Raptors game.

They hoped she would like it.

They were always busy and never really got to do anything fun, but lucky for them tomorrow was an off day.

So they were going to spoil her.

Ava's POV
"Are you ready" Auston asked.

I nodded eagerly.

The guys and Steph had planned a fund family day as they called if for us.

I think it was a way of cheering me up and I had to admit it was working.

"Shopping time, you guys are on bag holding duty" Steph said to the guys.

"Why us" Mitch complained.

"Because I said so."

Me and Shelby had gone into a least 15 different stores.

We got clothes, shoes, jewellery, makeup all that stuff.

"Mitch can I have your hand" I asked.

"I guess" he said.

I swatched a lipstick on his hand.

"What the heck" he said.

"I needed to see if it looks nice" I told him laughing.

"Why couldn't you do it on your hand."

"Because it stains."

Mitch was freaking out about the bright red lipstick on his hand.

"Steph please tell me this comes off" he said.

"Eventually it will" she told him.

"Stephhhh" he whined.

"Good job," Willy high-fives me.

After shopping we went to dinner. It was super fun.

They even had a band playing which led to us dancing.

"Auston go dance with your daughter" Michael suggested.

"I don't dance."

"Please" I said making puppy eyes at him.

"Fine."

We we're dancing while Steph was video taping us.

I had a lot of fun.

It was nice to spend time with everyone while they weren't playing hockey.

Third person's POV
"He really loves her" Steph said referring to her fiancés teammate who was dancing with his daughter.

He was spinning her around.

The smiles on both their faces made everyone's heart melt.

You could see Auston cared for Ava.

"He does, he wanted to adopt her" Mitch said.

"It sucks he can't though."

"What if we find a way for him to be able to adopt her" Steph suggested.

"Like reach out to her family."

"Yeah, I mean he wants to adopt her and she wants to be adopted if we can convince her family maybe there is a chance."

Steph was right there was a chance, it was small but it was still there.

Maybe they could reach out to her family.

It was better then nothing.
