Third person's POV
"Are we gonna let him adopt her" Luke asked.

The family was afraid of losing their daughter but they wanted her to be happy.

So was losing their daughter worth that.

"I don't know Luke" Ellen said.

"I think we should" Quinn answered.

He received weird looks from his family.

"I mean I know we don't know this guy but I think we should let him adopt her. She's obviously happy there."

Quinn had a point.

Ava wanted to be adopted by Auston. She truly did.

"What if we ask to meet him, see what he's like" Jack suggested.

"That's a good idea" Jim said.

The family agreed to Jack suggestion.

He had messaged Mitch asking to meet his teammate Auston to see what he's like."

"If we do let him adopt her can we still visit. I wanna bring her to a game" Luke asked.

"Of course."

The next day the family had went to meet Auston.

They were at Mitch's house where both Auston and Ava were.

A few of the other teammates were there too.

"Hey guys" Mitch said greeting them.

"Hi thanks for letting us come."

"No problem I show you to Auston and Ava."

The family followed Mitch to the basement where there was a group of people.

They saw Ava playing with a few other kids. All boys.

Auston's POV
"Hey Auston come here" Mitch yelled.

I walked over to him seeing a group of people.

"Auston this is Ava's family, guys this is Auston the one who's been taking care of Ava."

I was shocked they were here.

I didn't expect it.

"Do you mind if we talk to you upstairs preferably" the older women asked.

"Sure" I replied.

We went upstairs to a more private place.

"We heard about you wanting to adopt Ava."

I nodded.

"Listen she means a lot to us and I know we haven't exactly been there for her but we want to know she's ok here."

"She's great. I promise. She's properly fed and has her own room and she comes to all my games and practices."

"If we do let you adopt her we want to talk about maybe a share of custody so we can still she her."

I agreed.

After all she was still their daughter and sister. If was only fair they got some custody of her to.

I have them my number so we could talk.

I guess this meant I had to tell Ava.

It was a bit later and the kids had finished playing.

I still hadn't told Ava about what happened with her family.

I don't even think she knows they were here.

She was having fun and I didn't want to ruin her night.

I decided I was going to tell her tomorrow.

Jack's POV
"I think we should do it."

"Me too."

My whole family had decided we we're gonna let Auston adopt Ava.

It just seemed like the right thing to do.

We saw how happy she was and we could always do share if custody.

We had met with a lawyer and he had helped us get paper work ready.

I less then a week we were going to be saying bye to Ava.

She was probably gonna live with Auston full time and visit us sometimes.

At least we hoped.

Auston still hasn't talked to Ava about all this yet.

So we didn't have her view on it.
