While Cheri was fast asleep the fairy tale creatures were already moving into the swamp
Cheri's pov
I heard a creak and rubbed my eyes and saw the fairy tale creatures everywhere ah so it's time for the adventure to begin then
Not too long after I heard Shrek open the door and saw the fairy tale creatures "what are you doing in my swamp" he shouted
The fairy tale creatures whimpered and held each other in fear "go on move it...oh no not in there" Shrek said to the fairy tale creatures heading into his home
Shrek turned to us I avoided his gaze and yawned still feeling tired "Don't look at us we didn't invite them" donkey said
"Oh gosh nobody invited us" Pinocchio said "what" Shrek said angrily "we were forced to come here" Pinocchio said "by who" Shrek said
"Lord farquad he huffed and he puffed and then...signed an eviction notice" one of the three pigs said "ok fine who knows where this farquad guy is" Shrek said
'Why do I get this urging feeling that I'm somehow gonna be roped and dragged into this adventure not that I mind in the first place' I thought to myself
"Oh I know...I know where he is" donkey said "does anyone else know where to find him" Shrek said I chuckled lightly as I watched Donkey jumping up and down saying "pick me" over and over again
"Ok fine attention all fairy tale things your welcome is officially warn out in fact I'm going to go to this farquad guy get my swamp back and get you back where you came from" Shrek yelled
The fairy tale creatures yelled cheering some birds put a flower robe on Shrek "you two..." he said pointing to me and donkey 'called it' I thought to myself
"Your coming with me" he said "that's what I like to hear Shrek, donkey and Cheri of on a whirlwind big city adventure I love it" Donkey said
"So thats your name" Shrek said looking at me a bit before looking back "yeah" I responded "🎶 on the road again 🎶" donkey started singing
"Sing it with me Shrek, Cheri" he said as he started singing again "hard pass" I said "what did I say about Singing" Shrek said firmly
"Well can I whistle" donkey asleep "no" me and Shrek said in unison we looked at each other for a second then turned back
"Well can I hum it" donkey asked "alright hum it" Shrek said as we all went on our way to find farquad's castle
Time skip to farquad's castle...
"See I told you I'd find it" Donkey said "yup you certainly did annoyingly for three and a half hours later" I said rubbing my brows tiredly
"Well said" Shrek said he seemed to tolerate me more cause I didn't do anything to annoy him "so that's farquad's castle" Shrek said
"Do you think he's compensating for something" Shrek said and I snorted while trying to stifle a laugh immediately getting the joke that was my favorite scene in the movie honestly
"You guys have a strange sense of humor" donkey said "we all do its not that we don't find it funny but we just all have different views" I said
"Hey" Shrek said the mascot guy ran away from him "Hey wait a sec...I..I'm not gonna eat you" Shrek said then walked through the red rope
Shrek went through the gate donkey struggles and I pushed him through and I jumped over it I hate these types of gates
"It's quiet....too quiet" I said looking around "where is everybody" Shrek said "hey look at this" donkey said running up to the welcome song
'God I hate that song its so annoying' I thought to myself We had to go through all the torturous song and the pictures came out my face was red in anger with my eye twitching
"Wow...let's do that again" donkey said Shrek pulled him back "no no no...no" Shrek said "for the love of God please no" I said overdramatically
We heard trumpets sound and headed inside donkey was humming the welcome to duloc song which I was just about to explode

"Alright your getting this close for a smacked bottom" Shrek said "sorry about that" donkey said I sighed and rubbed my brows tiredly
We walked up to farquad and he made a big deal out of it "what is that agh it's disgusting" farquad said "ah that's not very nice..." Shrek said
I death glared at Shrek 'don't you dare' "it's just a donkey" Shrek said yup that's how it's supposed to be
"indeed knights new plan the one who kills the ogre is the one who saves the princess have at him" farquad said 'ok I'm not going to just sit here and do nothing' I thought to myself

I unsheathed my sword and it lit a flame around me, Shrek and donkey "you mean you can try" I said with a red glint in my eyes
The knights backed off "what is this sorcery" farquad said "not sorcery in your terms it's magic you incompetent buffoon" I said annoyed
"What did you just call me" farquad said "ok I've had it this guy has something to say to you so listen well" I said pointing at Shrek gesturing him to take center stage
"I'm trying to get my swamp back from all the fairy tale creatures you dumped there" Shrek said "hm..." farquad was thinking
"Very well lets make a deal if you go on a quest for me then I'll give you your swamp back" farquad said Shrek looks back at us then farquad
"What kind of quest" Shrek said I blanked out as Shrek was told of the quest that me and donkey would probably be joining him in "ok you two let's go" Shrek said as we walked away
