Cheri hallow and her older sister Elizabeth (Liz) hallow were reunited in a happy family reunion together again they were joining in the king and queens dinner with Shrek and Fiona
Cheri's pov
I saw Shrek looking nervously and he looks down at the plate of escargot as I was eating he just ate his whole making a crunch sound
"Hm..." I cleared my throat and gestured to using the utensils so he could get the gist of what to do Fiona burped and covered her mouth
"Excuse me" Fiona said "well better out than in I always say" Shrek said making both Shrek and Fiona laugh but seeing the king and queen especially my sister who was not amused in the least
It's hard to make my sister even crack a smile most of the time let alone laugh rambunctiously I just awkwardly played with my food
"I guess not" Shrek said probably trying to break the tense atmosphere" then we heard crashing in the kitchen "Not on the list don't tell me you don't know who I am" donkey said
"H.hey everybody thanks for waiting" donkey said as he sat down "no bad donkey down off" the king said "no dad its OK he helped save me from the dragon" Fiona said
"So what do you do for a living" the queen said trying to break the ice "oh Shrek has his own land don't you honey" Fiona said
"Oh yes it's in...an enchanted forest with toadstool and cute little duckies" Shrek was cut off by donkey "what haha I know you ain't talking about the swamp"
"Donkey" Shrek said firmly "an ogre from a swamp how original" the king said I started to get annoyed by his attitude
Liz noticed and held my hand squeezing it trying to calm me down a bit "Well a swamp I suppose that would be a perfect place to raise the children" the queen said
The king choked on his soup while Shrek was choking on his spoon and did the heimlich maneuver on himself "its a bit early to start talking about that isn't it" Shrek said
"Indeed I just started eating" the king said "Harold" the queen scolded "and what's that supposed to mean" Shrek said
I slammed my hands on the table standing up from my seat getting all attention on me
"Excuse me your majesty don't you think it's a bit rude of you to say things like that especially in front of your own daughter" I said with contempt in my voice
"Excuse us your majesty my sister is feeling a bit steamed I'm going to take her out to calm her down please forgive her outburst" she said and rushed me outside
I started freaking out in anger as soon as we were outside I let out fire from my mouth making me surprised "what the heck just happened" I said
"I'm sure it's only temporary" Liz said I clenched my fists tightly "why are you so calm, why are you acting like it's not a big deal" I said
"I'm not sure what your talking about" she said "you liar you obviously know what's happening tell me the truth" I said grabbing her by the front of her shirt
She sighed "fine I'll tell you but I need you to calm down first" she said "your anger is the thing that's making it so uncontrollable" she said
I let go of her and tried calming down "are you calm now?" she asked me I nodded "I'm good now" I said and heaved a deep sigh
"Ok why don't we sit down and I can explain this to you Clearly" she said we went to a bench and sat on it
"Now where should I start...hm" she hummed to herself thinking "well I guess the beginning is a good a start as any" she said
"You obviously know that our parents were very adamant on moving from place to place keeping us safe and sound" she said I nodded
"Well father wasn't entirely human and neither was our mother" she said this surprised me a lot "what" I said voice cracking
"Mother was a magic user or mage but she was still human at some point and father was half human...half phoenix" she said
"W.w.what" I said and stood up in shock "are you saying I have these powers because of dad being a legendary bird of flames" I said not believing this one bit
"It's true you even have a birthmark on the back of your neck to prove it" she said and pulled out a water mirror which surprised me
"I inherited mothers magic while you inherited fathers gift" she said she showed me the birth mark on the back of my neck

"What" I said when I saw how detailed the birthmark is "I'm sure it's all hard to take in" she said and rubbed circles on my back
"That's not the only thing you know is it" I said she sighed "we weren't born in the human realm we were born animated" she said
This just shook me I was in utter shock "we were animated" I said I then realized "what really happened to mom and dad" I said
She sighed "they were hunted and killed" she said with a look of pure sorrow I've never seen that look on her face before
"You were too young to remember at the time so you didn't remember living in an animated world" she said I fell to my knees
She looked down at me "I'm sure this is shocking to hear I'm sure you don't wish to hear anything more about it I think it's Time you went to bed" she said
She helped me to my feet and helped me to my bedroom I fell on my bed "goodnight" liz said and turned the lights off I had tears in my eyes and sobbed quietly while sleeping
