3rd person pov

Cheri was just training with her sword hazeburn in hand testing out her skills she looked and saw Shrek and Fiona who returned

Cheri's pov

I smiled and sheath my sword hazeburn and went to go greet them "hello lovebirds was wondering when you would get back" I said

"Well its been awhile since we've been back its good to see you again Cheri" Fiona said I nodded "I'll just leave you two alone" I said and walked away

I already know that donkey is inside because he doesn't know why dragon is moody

I sighed and rubbed my brows tiredly "man how long have I been training it feels like hours maybe it's because my arms are sore" I said

I froze seeing the guards from far far away 'ah...it's starting now' I thought to myself "donkey" Shrek said in surprise as he dropped Fiona accidentally

"I know alone I'm going, I'm going what do you want me to tell these guys" donkey said gesturing to the trumpeters

The trumpets went off and then that one guy who played Hawaii five'o I still find that absolutely hilarious

"Enough Reggie" the guy with the scroll said hitting Reggie with the scroll I blanked out not wanting to listen to him read the scroll

"Mom and dad" Fiona said "prince charming" Shrek said "royal Ball can I come" donkey said well '3...2...1' I think to myself

"We're not going" Shrek said "what" donkey and Fiona said In unison "yup thought so" I said as I blanked out of the argument

"We're not going and that's final" Shrek said 'well you'll soon change your tune Shrek, cause Fiona won't let that pass' I thought to myself

Time skip...

"C'mon Shrek we don't wanna hit traffic" donkey said Shrek opened the door looking kind of sullen "don't worry we'll take care of everything" Pinocchio said as they head inside the house

I of course was going along on my own free will I yawned tiredly and closed my eyes falling asleep as we started moving

3rd person pov

"Are we there yet" donkey asked "not yet" Shrek said as Cheri was still fast asleep

3 hours later...

"Are we there yet" donkey said again "not yet" Fiona replied as Cheri was still fast asleep

This continued for at least 8 more times...

"Are we there yet" donkey said "no" Shrek and Fiona said in unison "are we there yet" donkey said then Shrek copied what he said

"Hey that's not funny" donkey said Shrek copied "that's really immature" donkey said and of course Shrek copied

"See this is why no one likes ogres alright your loss" Shrek and donkey said  "I'm gonna just stop talking" donkey said  "finally" Shrek said in relief

"There's no in home theater or nothing" donkey said "the kingdom of far far away donkey that's what it's called far...far...away" Shrek said whispering the last bit

"Alright I get it I'm just so darn bored" donkey said "well find a way to entertain yourself" Shrek said donkey sighed

Donkey then decided to make an annoying popping sound with his mouth that didn't help Shrek's anger at all

"For five minutes can you not be yourself...FOR FIVE MINUTES" Shrek yelled "shh cheri is still asleep" Fiona said

"It's amazing she could sleep through this annoying chatterbox" Shrek said as cheri slept peacefully donkey popped in his ear one last time

"Agh...are we there yet" Shrek said "yes" Fiona said "Oh finally" donkey said cheri yawned and rubbed her eyes to get the sleepiness off of them

"Are we here" cheri said while yawning she stretched her arms and cracked her neck and knuckles "yes were here" Fiona said

Cheri's pov

'Dang I was asleep the whole way here maybe because I've been lacking sleep lately' I thought to myself We strolled through the main streets

We headed to the castle "well this is it" Fiona said I could see the nervous look on Shrek's face the trumpets went off only to be cut short from seeing Shrek and Fiona

I was behind them and put a hand to my ear 'wow it's really quiet nobody is making a single noise to break the silence except for the baby crying' I thought to myself

"You guys go ahead I'll park the car" donkey said I blanked out for a second must be nice to have family around when their needed

'I really wish I could see my sister Elizabeth right about now' I thought to myself "mom, dad" Fiona said hugging her parents

"I want you to meet my husband Shrek" Fiona said "well now I see where Fiona gets her good looks from" Shrek laughed nervously

I facepalm 'really Shrek' I thought to myself "and who pray tell is this young lady is she your daughter" the queen said

I twitched my eyebrows "um no I'm cheri hallow I helped with princess Fiona's rescue" I said "did you say hallow?" The king said

"Um yes my last name is hallow, Cheri hallow why do you ask?" I asked in confusion "cheri Shane hallow is that you" I heard

I froze the only person who knows my middle name is, I looked past the king and queen and saw "Liz" I said and ran to hug her

She hugged me tightly and whispered to me "I was worried sick are you ok" I nodded "I'm ok I was worried about you" I whispered to her

She sighed in relief "well guess were not the only family reunion" I heard Fiona say and we pulled away from the hug "I was so worried about you" she said pinching my cheeks

"Ow ow ow ok I deserved that" I said and held my cheeks in pain "well why don't we go enjoy dinner" the queen said and we all headed to the dining room

"so how'd you end up here" I asked she smirked "well I was made into the chief of the guards" she said "what" I said in surprise
