The next day Shrek made donkey and Cheri join him on a trip to go and find the location the king had told Shrek

Cheri's pov

"Tell me again why were out here just spelunking about" I said as I yawned still tired I had dried tears on my face

"Dad told me he wanted to get to know me" Shrek said "is there any reason why me and donkey had to come along as well" I said

Shrek just ignored what I said "where are we" I said "oh God Don't tell me we're lost" I said donkey tried to defuse the situation

"Face it donkey we're lost" Shrek said I blanked out for a second and thought about what had happened last night with Liz

'Mom and dad were hunted down and killed then how did we possibly make it out alive without being found out' I thought to myself

"We passed that bush 3 times already I can't believe this my only chance to make things up with fiona's father and I get lost in the woods with you two" Shrek said

"Rude" I said "Don't go getting angry at me and Cheri we're only trying to help" donkey said "I know...I know" Shrek said more calmly and sighed

"I'm sorry alright" Shrek said "hey its no big deal" donkey said "next time you explode like that to me I might not control myself" I said annoyed

"Again sorry" Shrek said I smiled "we're all good" I said then as we were walking I heard purring "well I know it was a heart-felt moment back there donkey but the purring" Shrek said

"Um Shrek, donkey can't purr he's not a cat" I said "Shrek I wasn't purring what do you think I am some kind of..." puss in boots dropped down

"Ha ha fear me if you dare" he said then hissed "oh look a little cat" Shrek said "with a sword" I said blandly "look out Shrek it's got a piece" donkey said

"It's a cat donkey" Shrek said "Shrek you shouldn't judge a book by its cover its more than meets the eye" I said as I gripped my sword handle ready to unsheath hazeburn

"Come here little Kitty c'mon" Shrek said well I'm gonna turn away I'm not gonna see this happen

I heard a grunt "did I miss" donkey said 'oh right he kicked Shrek in the no no' I thought to myself "no you got them" Shrek said holding his no no's

Puss went back over to his hat and cloak "pray for mercy from puss...in boots" puss said "oh I'll kill that cat" Shrek said as puss laughs he started to have a hairball

"Heh heh...hairball" puss said "gross" I said "man that is nasty" donkey said "what do you suppose we do with him" Shrek said picking him up

"I think we should nueter him give him the Bob barker treatment" donkey said "no one's going to give anyone the bob barker treatment that is animal cruelty" I said

I blanked out for a second and thought to myself 'Why does mom and dad's death have such an impact on me' I thought and tears stream down my face

"Donkey what is the saddest thing you can think of" Shrek said "why not just take my tears I'm already crying anyway" I said

Shrek looks at me and patted my back as the tear fell on the card he had and a bubble appeared from it showing fairy godmother

"Is it on...is it on this is fairy godmother I'm either away or unable to answer but if you make an appointment at my factory I'm sure we can make your Dream come true have a happily ever after" fairy godmother said

"Are you up for another quest donkey, Cheri" Shrek said "aw yeah Shrek, donkey and Cheri off on another whirlwind big city adventure" donkey said

"🎶 ain't no stopping us now were on the move 🎶" donkey was cut off by puss saying "stop ogre I have misjudged you" puss said

"Join the club we've got Jackets" Shrek said "on my honor I will spare you as you have spared me mine" puss said bowing

"Oh no the role of annoying talking animal has already been taken let's go Shrek" donkey said about to go but Shrek was taken in by puss's secret ability cuteness

"Shrek" donkey said "aw come on he's cute in his wee little boots let's keep him" Shrek said "say what" donkey said as Shrek nuzzles puss

Donkey groaned I chuckled at the scene that was happening in front of me "aw look he's purring" Shrek said coh so now it's cute" donkey said feeling sour

"Aw c'mon donkey lighten up" Shrek said "lighten up, lighten up Don't you tell me to lighten up I don't tell you to lighten up" donkey said

"Someone's jealous" I said to donkey crossing my arms "me I'm not jealous when have I ever been jealous" donkey said

"What your doing donkey, your proving my point that you are in fact jealous" I said he groaned I chuckled "senorita it's a pleasure to meet you" puss said

"Likewise I'm cherise hallow but I go by Cheri" I said "then that is what I will call you" puss said bowing on Shrek's shoulder

"Hmph what a little gentleman" I said teasing donkey making him annoyed the boys were whispering and laughing at donkey for being jealous

"Ok you two knock it off that's enough teasing donkey I think he's been through enough torture already" I said

We then came across the factory "woah it's a lot bigger in person" I said whispering under my breath so only I could hear

"That's the fairy godmother's factory where she makes potions, spells, hexes" puss said "maybe we'll pop in there for a spell get it spell" Shrek said while puss laughs I cringed and donkey said nothing for once
