3rd person pov

Cheri, Shrek and donkey were walking along while Shrek was trampling the plants Cheri was eating an apple giving the rest of it to donkey

Cheri's pov

"Ok let me get this straight you have to rescue a princess to get your swamp back filled with fairy tale creatures only..." I cut him off

"We don't need the recap donkey it literally just happened a few moments ago" I said "well its seemed like a good deal" I said

"Why would it be a fair deal" Shrek said "trust me you'll find out why soon enough" I said with a small smile on my face

"Why didn't you say you could do magic huh" Shrek said I gave him a blank look "you didn't ask so I didn't tell" I said with an obvious answer to his question

"You...ugh" Shrek said as he just gave up and ate a raw onion honestly I think the vegetables I hate are 'beans and beets' I thought to myself

"Well its probably going to be a long journey so I think it's better if we head out immediately" I said "I can't help but Agree" Shrek said

We were on our way 'from misery to happiness today' (sorry couldn't help myself I just had to the song is hilariously in tune with the movie😊)

We were on our way and noticed that it was getting dark I started a fire which was easy as I started it with my sword hazeburn

We all sat down eating a meal that I made "this is good Cheri where'd you Learn how to cook" donkey said as I smiled

"Well I guess my sister helped me out so I naturally becamegood at cooking" I said "you didn't mention you had any siblings" Shrek said

My smile fell "yeah my older sister Elizabeth hallow though she goes by Liz heh...she's the only family I got after my parents died" I said

The scene became quiet when I said that "I guess I should just be thankful that she even puts up with me she's the only family I have left" I said

"Well at least your not alone even now me and Shrek are with you" donkey said I glanced at donkey and chuckled "yeah thanks" I said

I yawned tiredly and stretched my arms out "well I'm gonna get some shut eye you guys better too if we want to get a head start in saving daylight...not to mention the princess" I said whispering the last bit under my breath

The next day...

We all woke up bright and early Shrek tried putting the fire out with his foot but that didn't go so well so donkey peed on it 'ew' I thought to myself

We were on our way again I decided to look up at the sky I was really bored and I decided to sing a song quietly to myself

I looked over at Donkey and Shrek to see them staring at me "what?" I asked confused "you sing rather beautifully" donkey said

"Agh don't say that I'm not that good at singing" I said and walked past them to avoid the conversation I still feel self conscious about the way I look

"Well where are we" donkey said I looked in the distance and saw smoke "I think were almost there it's right over this hill " I said "how would you know that" Shrek asked

"Cause there's smoke in that direction a whole lot of it" I said they looked over and saw that I was indeed correct we walked over the hill and looked at the mess

We walked over to the rocks and smelled something nasty 'brimstone' I thought to myself as I covered my nose in disgust

"Agh..Shrek you gotta warn someone when you let one out like that" donkey said "trust me Donkey if it was me you'd be dead" Shrek said jokingly and sniffed the air

"It's brimstone we must be close" Shrek said "brimstone that wasn't no brimstone you big fat liar" donkey said making me chuckle lightly

We looked over the brimstone wall and I cringed wow it actually looks worse seeing it in person "wow...I have no words" I said

"Well I'm not going in there that's all you guys if you need help holler I'll be there otherwise you guys are on your own" I said and sat down

"Well fine I guess you have been a bit of help I guess were doing this on our own Donkey" Shrek said as they both walked away and I relaxed
