curse broken and little talk

3rd person pov

As Cheri and Arthur were walking Shrek tried to defuse the situation by saying some teenage lingo which was not working in the slightest

Cheri's pov

"Somebody help I've been kidnapped by a monster who's trying to relate to me" Arthur said making me snort in amusement

Then we meet merlin the crazy wizard who lost his marbles I just ignored half of the conversation "you girl I sense that you had a curse set on you but is now gone" merlin said

Arthur did a double take "what curse" he said I started tearing up and ran away not wanting to give him a clear answer

Arthur's pov

"Wait...Cheri" I said trying to stopped her but she didn't stop "just leave her be the girl needs some time alone" merlin said

"But what did you mean by curse?" I asked "oh the poor girl had the curse to be turned to stone if she did not get true love's kiss" merlin said

I then realized that I was the one who broke the curse when I kissed her I was just trying to help but I guess I did in more ways than one didn't I

Cheri's pov

I was sitting on a log and crying then a bird was on the log with me it twittered and tweeted "are you telling me to sing" I said it nodded and I smiled then started singing

I finished singing but didn't realize that someone was there "you have a lovely singing voice" I heard and turned to see Arthur

"Hey" he said and went to go sit with me "are you ok" he said "yeah fine" I said he  took my hand and squeezed it in a comforting way

"Hey I'm not mad if that's what you're worried about" he said "it's not that I just didn't want to tell you about the curse so you would pity me" I said

He chuckled lightly "Cheri I've only known you for half a day there's no way that I wouldn't see that your an amazing girl with an amazing smile" he said

That made me blush "C'mon let's go back I'm sure everyone is worried about you" he said holding his hand out for me to take I took it and he helped me back to Merlin's cottage

At the cottage...

3rd person pov

Cheri was fast asleep while the boys did the journey to the soul thing with Merlin Cheri started having the nightmare again even though the curse was broken now

Cheri's nightmare

"I curse you with true love's first kiss the deadline is on your birthday which is in a month if I'm not mistaken if you fail to get a kiss you will be turned to stone"

She started shaking violently until Arthur placed a blanket on her she snuggled up to Arthur and put her head on his lap

He moved her head to his chest and layed with her both falling asleep peacefully without a single care in the world
