(Mark's POV)

"What?" My sister yelled at my former friend. "What do you mean she's missing?"

"That's what my mother told me."

"Your mother is lying." she muttered.

"Is she now?"

"As much as I hate you." I muttered. "I believe you."

"You do?" They both said at the same time.

I nodded.

"So then..." Amber muttered. "Where is she?"

"Probably her hometown," Jackson said, where she said she was going to be over spring break."

"And she never returned," Gavin added.

"So, are you guys thinking that we should help?" Amber asked, confused.

"Kinda."

"You guys are ridiculous; we can't do that."

"Why not?" Jackson asked.

"We'll first off we don't even know where they're from and secondly the police should handle this not us."

"Well," Gavin started. "Maybe we could go and ask."

"We could go ask." Amber mimicked.

"Hey!"

"It's worth a shot." I pointed out.

"Whatever," she grumbled.

Though once we got to their house no one answered.

"No one's home," Alex shrugged.

"See I told you guys it was a waste of time," Amber muttered.

"How were we supposed to know that they weren't home?" Jackson asked.

"I don-'' she was interrupted by the door swinging open.

"Did they forget to lock the door, or did something happen?" Alex asked.

"Only one way to find out," Gavin said.

"Wait," Amber muttered. "You're not saying that w-"

"Yes, I'm saying that a little look never hurts."

"I hope you're right."

It turns out that Gavin was wrong.

We were looking around well, Amber wasn't, she didn't want to. Talk about boring. Well I guess I understand kind of. We didn't push her.

Gavin and Jackson were looking in the main rooms. While me and Alex were in the hallway, heading for the other rooms.

"Hey, why did you believe me?" Alex asked.

"Well I don't know you seemed sorry for what you did."

"Thanks for that."

"No problem."

"So." he started. "I may also have some other things to apologize for." I knew what we were referring to.

"No worries you've changed and besides the past is the past."

"Thank you, so do you think that maybe we could go back to just being friends."

"Of course, just don't do that again."

"Do what?" he joked.

"You know what I mean." I laughed and hit him in the arm.

"Ow. fine ok I promise." he laughed, with me.

"GUYS!" Amber yelled. "I FOUND SOMETHING!"

"Wow I thought your sister wasn't going to snoop"

"Me too."

We headed for her direction, Gavin and Jackson were already there. Amber was still in the same stop, she had a piece of paper in her hand. There was a box on the floor.

"Where did you find that box?" I asked.

"It fell," she sighed.

"And yet you still decided to look in it." Gavin teased.

"It was on the top." she said, defensively.

"Well, what is it?" Jackson asked.

"It's a newspaper scrap. For the..." he voice trialed. "Mushroom kingdom news. I never heard of the Mushroom kingdom." she said. "Jackson, have you?"

"No.."

"Well what is it about?" I asked, looking over at her.

"Something about the fall of the origami king and his death along with his sisters."

"So it tells us where they're from." Gavin said.

"No," Alex said. "It tells us some made out place that no one's heard off."

"Guys. I'm not done." Amber said, making them shut up. "It says the origami king's name is Olly"

"That's a coincidence."

"Maybe but they say his sister's name is Olivia."

"But it said they died. We just saw Olly yesterday," Gavin told us.

"Are you saying that the-"

"No of course not! It also says it was written over 3 years ago. I'm just saying it's weird."

"It is," Jackson agreed.

"Lets just say they have a lot of explaining to do," I muttered.

"Maybe it isn't as bad as we think." Gavin said.

That was the second time he was wrong.
