CHAPTER 9

I walked  at the venue and my breathe was taken away, the ballroom in the Holand hotel looked like something out of a fairy tale,  From the twirkling lights to the beautiful decors in the place.Ben Jameson my date and a good friend of mine and Hannah's smiled at me.

"You look gorgeous, I'm sure I'll piss his pants the moment he sees you , you just wait, " he said giving me a hug.
"I wish,  he will be probably be busy with his date to notice me, " i sighed.

Joy, the girl from the designing department had brought me the gorgeous dress i was wearing, she had said it was a gift given to all employees but i knew she was lying and was just trying to avoid telling me it was from my boss, she even told me he didn't have a date and i was hoping she was right.

The guests started arriving at the venue and it was like a dressing competions, business men were in different types and brands of suits while their wifes walked around the place in different breathe taking design dresses that cost a fortune if you asked me.

"Page, you look amazing, where did you buy your dress from?i wouldn't definetely want one of this, " Mrs Knight said with a pleasant smile.
"Thank you Mrs Knight,  you look amazing yourself as usual, ohh this was a gift from the office of design department so i guess its one of a kind, " i shyly smiled at her.

She was the wife of one of the major share holders of the Holand companies and she was very kind and free spirited like her husband.

"Aah there she is , my favourite Assistant in all the Hola comapanies, " came Mr Knights'voice as he gave me a hug.
"Nice to see you  to Mr Knight it has been long since i saw you around, how was your trip in Paris ?" I asked.
I apologized for not introducing my date and after the introduction i couldn't help but notice Mr Knight giving me a weird look but covered it quickly before i could ask.

I later spotted Mr Holand's bestfriend Lenny Kingstone walk in with a model in his arms, she was tall with a perfectly taned body, her long legs were on full display with the body tight maroon dress that reached her mid tigh.She totally was a killer if you ask me.Then it heat me, what if he comes with a model more beautiful than any other woman in this room?what if he doesn't even notice me?what if,

My what ifs were cut short as Ben pulled me with him in one corner of the room where the other employees were, he had come with his camera as usual even if the place was filled with thousands of photographers and the paparazzi too, but he had told me that it was just for me, and when i asked why he just smiled and told me to relax and i would know later.

I didn't want to beg him for answers so i let it go.The night was still young and the even was about to start meaning he was going to walk in any munite...then everything stopped, the whole room full of deaigners from all over the world and business men from all over was quiet that you could hear a pin if it dropped on the floor.

Ben gently pushed my mouth closed pulling me from my drooling.It was like everything around me was gone and the only person i could see was him.The black tux he had on hugged his muscles in all the right places, his black hair was perfected gelled making me itch to run my fingers in them.I walked with confidence,  his chin held high, i couldn't help but smile as i noticed his tie matched my dress and the royal blue shirt that hugged his muscles but it all was gone the moment my eyes met the face of the gorgeous woman holding his arms.

Ben hugged gave me a side hug trying to save me from the pain i was sure was very visible on my face and i quickly snapped out of it masking my jealousy.I was supposed to be the one making him jealous not the other way round.After giving the woman he was with another look i looked away and let Ben lead me to our table.

The night so far was a success , the audience were eagerly waiting for the fashion show to start they could see what The Holand had in store for them this year, He was on the made platform giving his speech, since he arrived he had not even spared a glance at me, Ben pulled at my dress from under the table to get my attention and i reluctantly looked at him.

"Do you trust me? " he asked and i  wondered why he had to ask such a question but nodded anyway and then he did something i would never in a million years expect him to, he kissed me.I felt nothing of what i feel when my boss kissed me but then i figured what he was doing and if the brief pause in his speech was right he saw us but he coughed and went on officially open the door for the show to start.

Ben gave me one of his sexy smirk and winked at me before he started watching as the models cutwalked on the platform showing off our new brands.I watched all the business men and women as they looked at the work with admiration and i was certain by the number of emails flooding my tablet that we were in business,  we ones again blew peoples minds.

The night as coming to an end as people started leaving giving my boss praises as some promised to be in touch.I had hoped he would look at me even ones but he didn't and that broke me a little.

"That was a disaster, he didn't even look at me, " i whined as i slumed on my couch.
"Says who?" Ben asked smirking.
I couldn't deal with him and i was tired so i walked him to the door and thanked him for the help before he left.I quickly got rid of the beautiful dress and took a shower before joining my baby in bed letting sleep take over before i drowned in my miserable mind .

Hey,  atleast one thing went right tonight, was the last thing i had in mind before i fell into slumber.

Done, its down so lets see what happens here will it burn or freeze lets find out coz Ben's girlfriend is pissed😂
