Chapter 2: A test

Your POV

I was cleaning my sword, until I heard a voice shouting. "(Y/N)!" Zenitsu opened the door, sweating. "Ah! How was your mission toda-" I was talking until he interrupted me. "You didn't tell me I had to take care of a demon who's crazy!" He shouted loudly at my ear. Ouch, I knew this was a bad idea!

"Well, I thought you were related to him because of the Haori he had.. Are you not?" I asked Zenitsu as he put down the box on the floor, walking up to me. "I am, but he's not my real family member! How did you even find him like this?!" He asked me.

"Ah, uh.. My mission! I saw some kind of spider-demon!" I told him. "Ugh, getting new upper-moon 6?" He mumbled. Huh? Upper moon? I forgot.. "Can you at least.. Tell me his name? I haven't got it yet." I asked him. "Kaigaku.." He said. Eh.. That's a nice name.

"I gotta go for my training, don't hesitate to ask or tell me anything." I said as I stood up and went outside. I took out my (s/c) sword, and stared at it. 'Wow, nice colour..' I thought. I practiced my breathing forms and one of it took all of my effort and energy, causing me to fall down and try to breathe properly.

"Fuck." I said. I stood up and took a break, no wonder, why the (b/c) breathing was so hard to master... I went inside back in the butterfly mansion, checking up on Zenitsu. I couldn't find him, I entered the bedrooms, I saw nothing but the box.. Did he really leave it here..? I left the room and thought, 'maybe he's also training..?' I went outside to the training area.

Nothing. Where is everybody?! I ran inside the bedroom, I saw Zenitsu looking around. And I realise, the box was gone. "Zenitsu! What are you doing?" I asked him. "Looking for the box, I was eating rice balls with my friends but I heard something in the bedroom!" He shouted. "(Y/N)! I'm so sorry I lost it! I'm such a bad caretaker!" He apologised.

"Don't worry Zenitsu! All we need is to find a clue or something, but to remind you, I'm not a good detective!" I said as I sat down on the floor, looking for any sort of footprint. "(Y/N), did you tell them about Kaigaku?" He asked as a tear drop down his face. "No? Wouldn't you tell them? I asked you to." I said. He stared making a terrified face at me.

"Let me guess, you didn't...?" I said, he nodded his head. "NOOOOOOOOO!! I'm dead for sure! Please don't tell me that the hashiras found out about thissss!!" I cried out, as I grabbed Zenitsu's Haori and shaked him. "L-let's just tell Tanjiro and let him handle thi-" he said, and I interrupted him. "Noooooo... He'll be angry at us for this. And probably he's isn't gonna help!"

"Are you telling me you found this box? In the bedrooms?" Obanai asked Shinobu. "Yes.. I'm not really sure if this is Tanjiro's-" she said as Mitsuri interrupted her. "What do you mean? Isn't this just Nezuko's box? What is this?.." She asked.

"Mitsuri, there's two of the boxes now. I'm not really sure who's one is this.." Shinobu said. "I think.. Maybe..." Muichiro said. "No, not a demon. It's day now.. I don't think there's any demon that has their art.. Duplicating things." She confirmed.

"Is this another shitty demon I can stab?" Sanemi said. "No, not again!" Mitsuri whimpered. "I can feel it's presence, a demons one." He said. Every other pillar looked at him like he was dumbfounded. "Go on, do it. The exact same thing." Iguro said. "Obanai.." Mitsuri looked up at him, pouting.

"Come on. Oyakata-Sama or any demon slayer isn't here. Do it while you can.." He continued. The box started moving, and everyone was surprised. "Poor soul.. Let us put it out of its misery." Gyomei prayed, as he clapped his hands together, crying.

"Dont." The water pillar said. "Ah, Tomioka-san. You finally talked instead of watching the whole conversation, standing there like a loser." Shinobu smiled. "Nevermind, you're gonna get head butted again.." Obanai said. Mitsuri, was trying to hold her laughter after what she just heard.

Sanemi took out his sword, walking up to the box. "Oi, what are you doing? I just told you you're gonna get another head butt!" Obanai shouted. "I don't fucking care if it's just Nezuko again." The wind pillar said. "I didn't say it could be Nezuko."

"I bet Gyomei will ground you for doing this again..." Mitsuri replied. "Nah. I think he wouldn't know what's happening. Just sit back and enjoy." Obanai sighed. "You know he could hear everything..?" Shinobu frowned. They all stared at Obanai, until they heard a stab sound. Sanemi.

"It's a boy.." Sanemi said. "What?! You just stabbed it?!" Mitsuri gasped. "Whatever. I still stabbed it at the same position." Shinobu sighed, Obanai jumped down from the tree to Sanemi, grabbing his wrist. "Don't you remember what happened to you last time you did this? Probably another demon slayer is gonna come here and attack you, Dumb ass." He said.

Sanemi pushed Him away. "Oh, please.." Mitsuri said. "Whatever, let him do his thing." "Who's the owner of this box, anyway?" She asked. Sanemi threw the box to where.. Wherever there's no sunlight. "Oi! What if it's some kind of poisonous demon?! You could just die from it stupidly!" Obanai shouted.

"I'm not gonna test it, I'm gonna beat it up once I fucking open this box." Mitsuri chuckled, "Ah, you're kidding! Your gonna kill a demon which you don't even know if its friendly!?" She shouted. She was waiting for him to open the box, but he was just staring at it.

"Alright, make your decision, because this is taking long." Obanai said. As Sanemi puts his sword below the door handle, everyone watches. "Do you think it's gonna..." Mitsuri whispered to Shinobu. "Do it quickly, others could be coming here soon and expose us." Muichiro said.

He opened the box and saw nothing. Nothing inside it. "What the fuck? I still feel a demon prese-" His mind interrupted him. "If anything was behind me.." He continued. Sanemi could feel the presence behind him, and hear the blood drop. "I'd kill it!" He shouted, as he dodged the attack.

"No wonder your shitty eyes are shut.. What behind it?" As they continue attacking, he saw them open their eyes. "An upper moon, huh?!" He shouted for everyone to hear.  "I wonder how much of Muzan's blood you have devoured.."

As everyone watched them back up, and put back their sword. "Is the fight over already?!" Mitsuri shouted. "Hey demon. Want a portion of my blood? I heard greedy demons love it.." "We all know that your blood is some kind of alcohol, but I don't think it's gonna work on an upper moon!" Shinobu shouted.

           "Where is he?!" A voice shouted, approaching the area. "Oi. You must be looking for a demon, aren't you?!" He shouted. "Get down from there! How did you even get there?!" Zenitsu shouted. "It's not over. I'll make sure to fucking kill you the next time we meet."

"Seriously?! We had to run several places, wasting our time and energy, only to find you like this! Why is there blood on your clothes!?" Zenitsu shouted as he cried. "Its not only me who ran, also (Y/N)! She cared! She cared!" He started shaking Kaigaku. There was flowers surrounding him, as a reaction.

"Hello?! Are you dreaming?! You aren't looking at me, and your even blushing! Get back in the box!" "Oh, phew.. I was so scared!" Mitsuri said. He carried the box, whimpering. "(Y/N) cared about you.. And not me.." He mumbled and sniffed. Zenitsu came back to the butterfly mansion, completely forgot were (Y/N) went.

"Agh! Where are you my (Y/N)?!" He shouted and went outside.
